Yes it's almost like they thought "Hey we can use CGI to see THROUGH portions of his skull" and then went overboard in making him look extra hollow.

It's not even consistent with the Endo from their own movie.

Those ridiculous teeth. Winston Endos are still creepy as hell. I see that Genysis is also lacking the "body builder" neck. Looks like a real douche.

^ this has never looked quite right to me. I don't think the endoskull should have quite so much empty space as seen here. I mean where is the spine connecting into the skull? And how are all the normal human internals of his mouth still there and in complete shadow like as though that area hasn't been opened up.

Allow me to add 'why does his exposed mechanical eye have a grid pattern when no other Terminator ever has had this?'

It's like they handed this shot off to a team of amateurs who'd somehow never seen the first two films.

Looking at the new promo poster for Genisys, I think it's back

I spent some time in Photoshop making some minor adjustments to the head and other bits of the Genisys endo. Thoughts?

Well the shorter teeth help. But I can't help but notice with the smaller teeth, the head looks more bulbous and not really skull like with the Winston skulls. Maybe that's just me.

Looking at it, you're right. The skull is too smooth and round, whereas the Winston one had a lot more going on. Good job I still have the PSD saved...

In response to the exposed T3 endoskull..., I'm assuming the see through part of the skull in the center of the face is due to damage, like something punched right through the cheek area. The endoskull has a hole in it due to something impacting it hard. Why the inside of the mouth is in shadow though.... Oops!

Their hellish eyes should always be their standout feature, not their damn teeth.

I picture Reese hitting the Genysis Endo with the crowbar and after it jerks its head to the side they cut to a shot of those fake chattering teeth hitting the ground like when Nicholson got punched by Batman in the bell tower.

The spine would be in the center behind where his chin and mouth would be . The hole is in the cheekbone.

It IS very possible that there was green paint on that part of Arnold's face and the FX people simply replaced with with nothing instead of an animated endo piece.

I know I'm going to catch some heat for this, but looking at the original pic again - did the special effects team use the Hot Toys 1/4 endo for reference? The similarities are uncanny

I wouldn't rule it out. The actual teeth are enraging, not only are they too tall, but their too thick too.
