Yeah I don't know that I'd let someone get to me if his/her two favorite films of all time were Pitch Black and Batman & Robin.

I'm not complaining about people who want to pay the ticket price on opening night to be the cinematic equivalent of an ambulance chaser, I'll probably be there with them - but yes, I have met and spoken to several people who honestly believe this will be a great film, think poking into the shrivelled remains of Cameron's babies is a great idea, etc.
At some point there was a chance this could have been good, but that went out the window when they hired a TV director and two terrible writers to bring it to life, insisted on wheeling out creaky old Arnold and decided it would be, once more, a PG-13.
They'd have been better off giving someone like Neill Blomkamp or Nicolas Winding-Refn $70 million, the option of a hard R rating and a blank slate to reimagine the franchise.
Well, I'm excited to see this trainwreck. Come on, they're not even hiding that it's a ridiculously hilarious trainwreck!
Unfortunately some people still believe that it'll be a good sci-fi. You have my permission to kill them on sight.

I don't know how anyone could hold onto the idea of this being a 'serious' Terminator movie after seeing the trailer. It immediately demonstrated that this film will have more in common with T3 than the first two movies. Now, if a person doesn't have a problem with T3 then I guess that's fine to them.

Pitch Black is a solid movie. I am lost on the Batman and Robin part. But I also love the Crank films as guilty pleasures. We all have questionable movie tastes.

I like Pitch Black....Batman and Robin not so much. My point was far beyond this movie. It just seems there is a group here that hates EVERYTHING. I just don't see how it's possible to find no enjoyment in any movie and to think they all suck.......even before you see them. If you watch it and think it blows then so be it, but the constant criticism of EVERYTHING gets just as old as people who praise EVERYTHING.

My favorite promotion for the film so far, that speaks to the way the film is viewed by the producers I'm guessing, was one of the wrestler's entrances at Wrestlemania on Sunday. It started with Arnold giving a speech about this guy while T1 music played, then a bunch of Terminators came up out of the ground around the wrestler, who was a human/Terminator hybrid, who then held up a bunch of Terminator skulls like he had defeated them on the battlefield!
Bad ass.

That entrance made no sense Triple H is a terminator now? When I saw Arnie on the screen, that's when I knew Sting was losing his debut match...

Wow, so much hate for a Movie that's not out yet. Although I can understand where people are comming from. I can't stand T3 and Salvation, so if history is anything to go by. I however am looking forward to this movie! It's never going to be a T1 or T2, we all can accept that. Enjoy it for the ride it is and hope that it turns out good!

I'm not sure it would be impossible to make another genuinely good Terminator movie, that's why I can't just get on board with whatever nonsense they put out instead. But yeah, if there's enjoyment to be had from ripping the piss out of something then I have no doubt this film will give me a damn good time.
