Re: Official Terminator thread.

I think HT Endo and SS T800 are perfect in scale. Don't forget Endo doesn't wear boots. If you let HT endo wear boots and give endo some hair, both of them should be about the same height.

Re: Official Terminator thread.

Those are AWESOME pix!!!! I love the one with Robo all busted up:lol

And I think they are proportioned just right, like Kamen said Arnold has boots, hair, and flesh. So I would think he would be a bit larger than just and endo.

Either way they look awesome together!!!

I agree... they look perfect in scale together. Now I need to get them both though... crap. :D

Re: Official Terminator thread.

I too agree for the same reasons already mentioned. Plus, the Arnold T-800 also has massive muscle tissue over the Endoskeleton, so that adds some mass and a little height as well.

Re: Official Terminator thread.

I guess after looking at it the T-800 arms are a little shorter than the Endo and it should be the other way around but if you bend them a little it shouldn't be noticable. They still look awsome together.

Re: Official Terminator thread.

I started to question the purchase of the Arnold T-800, but seeing him together with the Endo... SUPER! Hopefully SSC starts shipping the Endo's pretty soon!

Awesome pix LW! I might have to consider buying a Reese now after all!

Those pics are awesome! Funny though how SS's T-800 Arnold is taller than the Endo when actually they should be of equal height. That's what happens when you have two different companies making them. I'm tempted now to just switch the head over to a Hot Toys NGL body for consistency.

Well, if you account for the heels that Arnold T-800 is wearing, plus a little flesh between his metal feet and shoes, and the hair...it's about right. Close on the arms too.
It works for me.

Truly awesome photos! I laughed enough when Endo beat Robo, but the next shot of Reese with his hands up like "Whoa nelly!" has me in stitches! :lol
Great stuff!

Due any day now! :chew

And yes...STEEL! Not chrome. Never liked those old chrome styrene models that were nice, but small, 1/9th I think, back in the day. A buddy had one. I liked it, but I met a guy at a con in LA back in 1995, that painted a nice resin cast 1/1 Terminator head, and he had used some kind of graphite paint, and polished and layered it a lot, polished the hell out of it...buffed it a lot, and that thing was SMOKIN' BADA$$! MUCH better than any chrome ones. I feel I have to always dirty up anything that's chromed.

But anyway, I bet a nice wash/wipe of steel and black on the whole thing, and then a light drybrush of steel or silver, just to hit high areas, will make it look metal enough. It actually looks pretty good. It's just too uniform a silver. That's what makes it look plastic. You can push the metal effects using darks and pure metal colors, and they look amazingly more metallic, without all that expensive chroming.

Or not! :lol

Just an idea.
I'll know more when the little bugger's on his base, standing in front of me...eyes all aglow....
This is gonna ROCK!

ive got one coming too from Oz , gonna try some Alclad II real metal paints on it....

I HATE YOU ALL!!!

:rotfl :rotfl :rotfl

That battle damaged one just looks so good. Like...really... REALLY good! And I hate anyone who gets one, lol

also my Arnie head has now been cast so I can finally start working on him in my spare time (do I still get any of that??). First up will be a standard T2 resculpt, then I think probably a T1 and if I'm feeling adventurous at some point maybe a battle damaged T2 and T versions. Should be fun to do.......... should being the operative word here :lol

Re: Official Terminator thread.

another thought I've just had, I've been searching for a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses (for Arnie, not me :lol ) that he wears in T2.... the ones on that come with the figure are too big, the one's you can buy from 1/6 companies are never the right shape.... and... well I didn't get any with the head I got anyway, lol

Why don't 1/6 companies make Ray Ban sunglasses? I would have thought they'd be really popular. I might end up having to make my own....urgh lol
