Absolutely AMAZING work man! My mouth :eek when I saw the first pic! Literally! Fantastic, I WISH my Arnie looked half as good (Sideshow) as yours.

Great sculpting work Darren, it's weird how until you actually see it done out, you don't realize how much Arnie-ness is lost by the standard SSC figure having a normal person's neck, you beef it up like Arnie's real neck and it makes all the difference.

Yeah, that neck really seals the deal, it brings a level of realism to the figure that is just amazing. :rock

I MUST have this sculpt. :lol

Holy crap, that is the AMAZING!!!!!!!! Just amazing, the neck makes it look SOOOO much better, and his expression is perfect!

Great job!!

Thanks guys :bow :bow :bow

now I just need to find some sunglasses to go with this custom (and not the SS ones which for me were too big or the HT ones which were too small). I've had some offered to me from someone who saw my blog, but I may end up sculpting my own (oh joy)

I have to say I'm really happy with this figure. Every time I look at it on my shelf here.... it..... well.... it just looks like Arnie is on my shelf :rock

I LOVE IT

(finally... that 'made something for myself and i love it' feeling... as opposed to the 'urgh I have so much work to do' feeling) :D

Great pics Maulfan!
Here's two of mine, not nearly as good as the ones above but I do the best with what I have:

That's the battle damaged Aoshima on the left. Yep the shoulder hose on my Aoshima broke off, I'll have to figure out how to repair it.
Between the two, I like Hot Toys' Endo the most. The Aoshima has a slightly greater range of articulation, but the HT Endo has more articulation and is more accurate to the film Endo. Overall, The Hot Toys Endoskeleton is better quality and a better value.

my aoshima termy broke his hose too :monkey5
what i did was use a micro drill, make a small hole at where the hose fits,(the plastic thingy on his shoulder)
i used a lil map pin, cut the end off and shoved the thing in to create a lil post, then slip the spring tubing over, viola!good as new!
okay, enuffa holes, posts and hoses. :lol

Phenomenal work there Darren! What's the story with the headsculpt? Is it your own work? Either way , It's the best Arnold likeness I've ever seen and you should be rightly proud . ( I'm also on the lookout for some shades for my T2 , for the same reasons you stated , so do us a favour and keep me informed if you manage to source some!):D

:lol My Arnie is feels so inadequate compared to Darren's........I need those sculpts!! Also I'm thinking of getting (if he offers of course) a third and making a Jack Slater from The Last Action Hero

I know the hair is different but based on the fact I'm one of the few who actually like that film, I don't think anyone will care.

I always thought LAH was a great parody film, I especially liked Robert Patrick dressed as T-1000 at the police station.

Fantastic custom there Darren! looks like it belongs in a Wax Museum!
When you're going to sell some copies, let me know!
And guys, Darren gave more details on what he did in his custom thread:

The following photos show the unpainted resculpt sat next to the original head. It was mainly the weird banana shaped neck that didn't sit right with me. It made his chin/jaw look too small.... his upper head look too large, and it was just an unnatural shape for a human neck.

.....especially Arnie's

I cut off the neck completely at the jawline, under the ears and back to the base of the hair. Sculpted a new one, trying to give it that distinctive 'Arnie' shape.

Also I resculpted the ears slightly, making them stick out further on his head. (they were too flat and squashed when compared to photos of the man himself)

Apart from the neck and ears, the facial sculpt itself is pretty damn spectacular. All I changed (and this was more a personal preference than a fault) was to make the mouth corners more defined and downturned... always an Arnie trademark for me, and I shortened the furrow lines on his brow which i felt went up onto his forehead a bit too much.

Thanks for the advice Clarenced, I've done the drill and pin technique many times so I'm quite familiar with it. I just haven't got around to fixing the shoulder spring yet, I've had mine sitting in a box for years and completely forgot I needed to fix it. :D

Thanks guys, .....really really means a lot :bow

thundergod - thanks! About the headsculpt, I've done a full write up with photos of what i did to what, etc on my blog.... just click on the link in my signature ;) and if I find (or make) any accurate shades I'll post them here, don't worry

The Mike - Once I've figured out if/when i'm making a few of these available I'll put it up on my blog/in my custom thread probably. And don't worry.... I LOVE the last action here too. I think it's hilarious. As Maul said its a great parody of action films, whilst in itself being a really good (and deliberately stereotypical) 80's/90s action film.

I'll be looking through all Arnie films to see what characters can be made with what hair changes..... so yeah, slater will probably be one of them!

Maulfan - the T1000 part had me cracking up too.... absolutely loved it!

screamingmetal - thanks for posting the quotes mate :)

right.... now it's time to turn this....

Oh, I can't wait to see it Darren! It's really sad that it looks like a BD T-800 might have to be custom built instead of bought.
