I own a great Tv and I thought it was too dark. Not so dark that I couldn't see what was going on, but still too dark.

And as far as how good the movie was, it was alot better than some other action movies I have seen. It was good for what it was intended to be...a gore-fest between Aliens and Predators.

And I am curious to see what the foreshadowing at the end was for. Obviously another AVP movie.

I own a great tv, too. That wasn't the problem and I'm not "wah wah" about it, I was just stating a fact. :monkey3

I think watching it on an hdtv makes it even worse. The blacks are so deep, you can't see ^^^^. Watching on a regular "crappy" set would probably be better.

My tv is high def, so I would have to agree with that. Guess I should've watched it on my 'crappy' tv in the game room. :lol

Well I saw it on blu-ray with a HD Hitachi Ultravision "60 and it looked good. It was dark and intended to be that way as the costumes weren't the best and needed to be hidden. But you could see all the skulls in the scout ship and you could see the Alien clear bearing down the wall at Dallas in the sporting good shop. I think the darkest part was Wolf's trip to the downed ship. That was dark and then they had him moving behind trees as well.

I watch it on a 46" Sony Bravia HDTV, and everyone who has watched it here tells me it is crisp and clear, no 'darkness problem' at all. Hell, even in the theater here I could see everything fine.

The standard DVD I watch on a 24" Sanyo LCD screen, and again... it looks fine. So I still, don't know how some people can see 'nothing.'

i haven't had a problem with the "darkness" i know its supposed to be dark so i just accept it for what it is. it rocks visually on my 50" DLP (only 720, but considering i paid less than 1k for the tv i won't complain)

Ok, so just watched it on DVD last night, which was my first time. Well, I watch it on Limewire, but it was horrible quality. So why the hell was this movie so damned dark. I couldn't tell what the hell was going on half the time. And I got to say, the Wolf Pred was much cooler than the Pred in the first AVP. He was a bad ass mofo!

One thing I was really interested in was the end sequence with the Colonel and Ms. Yutani!!!! WTF??!! That was cool. But I am wondering how the Weyland-Yutani Corp even gets started with Weyland killed in the first movie. Who takes over and joins with Yutani? Also, she seemed like she was from the future in her crazy get-up too. Someone help me with the craziness!!

Just a question, I got mine from HMV and I didnt see any extended or special versions? Are we not getting that in the uk? :(

yeah , I saw it , for £20.00 , like a 3d cover poppy out one.
With the predalien on it with a blue tint.
Looks sexy ! :naughty:rotfl

I was in soo much of a hurry I must not have seen it damn! Well looks like ill be getting another copy then! :lol

I just phoned HMV and they said they only have one version? The one I got, I may as well just keep this one, It has deleted scenes etc, Im probably just being silly. Though my predator films have to be the best versions! dont care about the rest :lol

Yeah I actually got the two disc extreme unrated edition and all thats on the 2nd disc is the digital transfer crap. It's the same exact thing as the single disc with a different cover and a useless second disc. I liked the movie but I shoulda read what the bonus features were before I bought it I woulda rather got the one disc version and saved the extra $10.

The directors said that she is the head of the government corp that was searching the predator in predator 2,so she's been on to the preds for a while trying to capture them and get their technology. They said that the gun she gets at the end gives us the technology to build the ship that is in the original alien. And they also said that AVP3 will show the alien home world like they showed the preds in this movie. So no shes not futuristic or nothing she's just very powerful.
