Don't order a piece that is sold out but suddenly back in-stock. 99% of those are rejected/returned pieces. I have had a few bad experiences.

Agreed. Especially with this piece and the Spidey Com. The return rates on both those pieces are high. The sad part is that even if they found a mint Thanos, you have to worry about whether it will arrive that way after shipping. I got lucky and had mine arrive minty fresh the 1st time out. However, if I were to ever sell Thanos, it would be pick up only. I wouldn't risk shipping him after all the problems I've seen with Cap's busted shield.

This is a great dio. Thanos and Death look amazing. However, if anyone is looking to score this now, I think you should do it as a local pick up from a seller. Either that or a local Con/LCS if possible. Seeing this dio mint and taking him home yourself is the way to go.

My Thanos arrived this week flex pay finally finished. It came with no issues the shield was fine and the light up feature works perfectly. I love this piece it looks amazing. Really glad the wait list converted.

Thanks to Avengers movie :yess:

That was just a cameo. Can you imagine what the Dio will go for when the sequel finally comes out? Who knows, maybe SSC will come out with a 1/4 scale stand alone Thanos by then. It would only make sense given what a large role I'm sure he'll play in the sequel.

Is this considered the best Thanos statue?

I like the very 1st Bowen Thanos with infinity gauntlet and the SSC dio. Those are my 2 favorite Thanos statues. The ONLY problem with the 1st Bowen piece is the blue paint they used for his costume. It's too light. That and the fact that the Bowen piece comes with many paint rub issues. It's tough to find a mint one. As far as pure sculpt is concerned, the very 1st BD Thanos is still my favorite. However, Bowen's Mistress Death doesn't hold a candle to the SSC Mistress Death IMHO.

Yeah, I'm just not buying the hype. I haven't been all that impressed with any of the Marvel movies yet. They're well made, visually, and all. Also, while being modernized, they still hold onto enough of the roots. However, they all seem to try to cram too much in. Comicbook stories take time to unfold, but a movie has to tell it in about 2 hours which just isn't enough.

I'll probably end up waiting until it comes out on Blu-Ray and renting it through Netflix like I have with all the rest.

I just wasn't expecting to come across a spoiler like that so soon, but I did expect to eventually. So, I'm not really all that upset. It's actually pretty cool to know, and something to look forward to.

:peace

Yeah cause the other 4 marvel movies before this one didnt do anything to help the story unfold :slap

Thanks for understanding. I will say this. The Avengers is about 2 1/2 hours long. The pacing was good and it did give time for character development. IMHO, this is the best marvel movie ever made. What they did with the Hulk alone is worth seeing at the theaters. They did more with his character in 20 or so minutes of screen time than they did in the last 2 Hulk movies combined. Whether you see it at the movies or wait for it on DVD, I'll make sure there are no more spoilers from my end. I hope you enjoy it, I can't believe how much I did. Don't forget to watch through the credits.

Forgive me if I've watched;

The Incredible Hulk and said, "It was okay."
Iron Man and said, "It was okay."
Iron Man 2 & said, "It was okay."
Thor and said, "It was okay."
Captain America... can you see where this is going?

Can you blame me if I think that The Avengers will be nothing more than just okay in my personal opinion? For me, I'm not going to pay today's ticket prices for something that I think will only be "okay".

Now, I'm one of the few that actually loved Ang Lee's "Hulk". That, I regret not seeing in the theater. So, flay me alive for that as well if it pleases you.

Just teasing bro!

Yeah i think the price will continue to go up, I am glad I was able to pick up this dio from Barbarian when nobody knows he will be in the movie :)
