The "Joker" like face just ruins this piece for me. I half expect Thanos to be holding a joy buzzer instead of the Infinity Guantlet and standing next to Harley Quinn rather than Mistress Death.

Someone mentioned earlier how the changes were inspired by his new look and not his 90's look, then proceeded to post a pic of his new look.

Hmm, this dio captures a moment from INFINITY GAUNTLET, which is his 90's look, so there was no reason to try to make his costume modern.

Again, I think from the neck down they did a great job, but don't justify mix-mashing costumes.

I was wondering that as well. Why does SS have such an aversion to accuracy?

Thankfully, Marvel isn't adamant about things.

I understand where you're coming from. I'm sure that I would be the same way about an LOTR character that had been changed.

I'm still a little thrown off by the Carnage 1:1 bust (the mouth), whereas others applaud it. I guess that each collector can look at the same thing and yet see totally different things.

I hope you're right because I would easily pass on Thanos for a brown costume, but I have a feeling that brown Wolverine will be displayed next to Sabertooth at SDCC....could be wrong, but I don't think we will see the brown costume until well after the blue/yellow has shipped.
