I've been after Sideshow for years to do Thanos and finally they listen. :chew

This will be a killer piece if done right and I'm sure they will. For those who don't want a light-up feature don't turn it on. Sideshow has 2 direction they can go in.

1.) They can make the exclusive with a light-up gauntlet.
2.) They can make the gauntlet light-up for all of them and offer a Annihilation Wave uniform exclusive. Just a thought.

I guess I'll have to cancel my Hulkbuster Ironman for this since I want it more, sorry Tony Stark you just got trumped.

from what i have seen,sideshow's statues are better than bowen's.i think sideshow's thanos will be a grail..if it has a light up feature then bye bye bowen!!

The sculpt is great.

Just cause it doesn't look like a specific artist doesn't mean it's bad at all.


The paint is where the bowen one is lacking. Plus the fact that the gems are in the wrong order. How Bowen could let that slip through QC is ridiculous.

I still though love my Bowen Thanos. It's the perfect companion piece to my chrome Surfer.

wasn't ssc working on a Surfer also??

a nice twist to the exclusive would be to have actual gems instead of colored plasic. kinda like the moore variants have.

Looks good but its gonna be hard to top the Bowen one.

It doesn't look like SS is even trying too. SS seems content to copy the same pose as the Bowen Thanos. I was hoping for a more original pose from SS. Oh well, I'll wait for the finished pics before I judge the piece. Love the character so I just can't see me not buying this statue.

I just hope that Sideshow is not going to offer the EX Light Up IG Thanos as Priority Pre-Order. I always missed the chances ordering the PPO stuff.

Its interesting that some collectors pit another company against another in their comparisions with certain sculpts. Sideshow and Bowen Designs run in 2 different directions with what they offer and the variety they sell. I never want to be seen bashing one company over the other for some preceived notion that one company is better than the other. I love Marvel characters and I'll collect from any company that makes a decent sculpt and I'll display them all together as well. I doubt Sideshow sees Bowen as a competitor otherwise they would not sell Bowen products on their site. Both companies make damn good products and I'm glad I'm able to enjoy from both.

Wasn't really comparing, just saying it will be hard to top bowen. Can't really compare with only a back shot.
