How come there was shipping charges on these but not on 1/6 Palm JC or MGS REX?

Shipping has generally(iirc) been separate for the smaller figure releases. I think it was because shipping would combine if you bought multiples, but tonight there was no combined shipping on singles..so I guess they could've just added $15 to each and called them SHIPPED.

Scored everything I wanted tonight, and spent way more than I think I should've.

Well, I was originally wanting Cherry, but instead I spent those funds on the heavy TK's. Is there anyway of letting Ashley Wood know most of us prolly did the same, and now (at least I) can't get Cherry? And considering we're also likely to be saving up for Halo, I've actually got nothing left to spend! He needs to give us some breathing space or something. Halo might even have to wait till release...

I've chosen ThreeA over many things I've wanted and now I've missed - no regrets on getting 3A, just regrets on missing the others such as exclusive Flint (I so should have got him as well though - 2 shotguns!), Beach Head, Dusty and Black Widow (the three Joes were sacrificed for my first three A's Popbot, Fighting JC and Little Shadow). I'm about to miss out on Hawkeye, Black Spidey, Leon, Superman and Art Figs Bruce. And it looks like I may miss Captain America, T2, Crimson Guard, Bossk, Tusken and Dam Navy Seals (but I'm hoping there's enough of the first two to go around, but by Christmas they'll likely sell out). Then I have a feeling later I'll miss round two of the Widow, Joker and Batman. I'm in line for a Big Chief Doctor Who, so am kinda glad he's delayed. Pulled the plug on Amazing Spidey, IG-88, Loki and both the Grant Morrison Omni's and now reconsidering flagging those new Soldier Story and Crazy Dummy pairs. Big wish list... all gone to 3A. (hmm also have MP-12 and MP-13 on my list, but I gave up robots for 1/6 so must be just in case I had spare cash lying around... ack! - and I was s'pose to have given up other scales for 1/6 - see what Ashley's made me do! And no Cherry... )

Oh and just recieved an email that a Groo book arrived and I need to pay shipping for that. I knew that was coming but didn't know the slicer (<-- he was my Groo shipping!) and Halo were (seriously was not expecting Halo for another year or so heh).

Everyone else has similar problems too right? I'm now making choices between different ThreeA products. Do I get the secondary market one I missed, one of the ones that were just released or prepay one of the ones that prolly isn't even made yet? And then, which ones within those three hey? I'm sure Ash would prefer I just buy them all... and spacing those Bambaland sales would kinda help. Would have got a T-shirt otherwise.

And all this, I'm trying to save for a Heavy Bramble.

One thing about this hobby - there are always tradeoffs and painful choices about purchasing between different figures. I just started collecting 3A in May and virtually all of my collecting dollars (and some that weren't, oops ) have been going to them. There are other figures I wanted, but 3A figures are so addictive.

One reason I held off on picking up any of the 1/12 scale 3A figures is because I can't afford to get into a new scale. I have to be diligent and stick to 1/6 scale figures.

Man, I wish I had your will-power! I've been picking up the 1/6 & the APs.
I ended up picking up the slicer three pack & the Kyuu.
Got cart-jacked on the Oyas & JC. So frustrating!

Agh man you got JC congrats, I'd loved to of got him. I keep checking Bamba but with no luck, looks like I'll have to try my luck with ebay now. Hopefully I'll be able to pick him up at a decent price. Talking about scales, I only collect there 1/12 stuff, it took me four years & a baby to displine my self into collecting specific lines & scales but it's pretty much all about 3A for me now

That's why you have to be smart with your ThreeA purchases. Variant # 978 is never worth bothering with unless you are absolutely sure there is nothing else they are making that you might want. On the other hand, you can be sure just about everything that comes out will get a superior variant within a year or two so blowing money on a character because he has a red jacket is a waste of time. The after market as a whole is a waste of time with ThreeA stuff. The 1/12 stuff also tends to stay fairly static in prices anyway so if you absolutely must have a certain one just get it later.
