hey guys... im new in the three a univers. and im interested to get some figures. i find a lot of infos at the 3a wiki page ... but im not sure if i found all n.o.m. figures... some one knows how many figures are released from N.O.M so far i mean witch diffrent charackters...

i really like the 3a stuff... but they have so many variants of simular figures... like the tomorrow kings... just the color/ or the shirt is different... maybe the painting on the face... but same body/head sculp... same accessoires... it looks like its hard to collect, also the fact that they are so many limited and exclusiv figs!

It's because they make so many variants that you shouldn't worry about it. Just buy them as they come out because they hike up in price so much on Ebay that it's not worth bothering with. Don't approach ThreeA with a "Gotta catch them all" collect mentality. Just get your favorite variant of each type of figure or wait for the next one. For example they make a new Tomorrow King like every three months. No point wasting money on one just because it has yellow hair or something.

catch them all mentality... the figures get some crazy prices on ebay!!!
but i really like the nom commanders... at the time the figs come up i was not really hooked at 3a... but finally... i think i need some figs!

@monger can u tell me something about the quality of the figs compared to hot toys or some disadvantages with 3a???

The quality is generally no better or worse than other 1/6 products. Lately, they have been making more licensed products and I am not sure if that has affected them, but I have seen more reports of QC issues. Hard to say if that's because more and more people are getting into threeA and being more vocal about issues (as opposed to the OG hardcore fanbase who may gloss over issues or try to fix it themselves), but I really doubt there should be much concern on your end. One thing to note though, is that since threeA toys tend to have heavy weathering and are likely hand painted, you will notice very strong paint and other chemical smells coming from the figure. I'd suggest opening in a well-ventilated area. My latest figure's head paint seems not to have dried completely as it is sticky to the touch. It may have missed an extra curing step, but it is not a very big deal to me.

Monger's advice on not worrying about the past releases and variants is a good one. threeA makes many variants of it's characters and some of the variants are released in a way where they are not only rare, but are very difficult to order to boot. I would just stick to preordering new and upcoming releases rather than trying to collect stuff that's already been released in the grey market--way too expensive since resellers take advantage of collectors' OCD, lol.

^^
I would love to have them in 1/12. I promised myself I wouldnt buy any 1/12 humans, just stick to the bots but I failed that big time.

I almost went into 1/12 this past round of slicer preorders...oh man that was sooooooo freaking tempting! Plus 1/12 JC secret...I keep second guessing myself if I should've just did it and then worry about it later. The lack of free shipping and the idea of starting a new scale finally ended up deterring me though. I figured I had enough to manage with 1/6, so no point destroying my already small budget with more than I can handle.

From what I understand they will not do the NOM Commanders in 1/12 because the removable masks look weird or something.

The 1/12 stuff is super impressive in-hand. They're probably one of the coolest toy lines I have ever come across. The problem for me though, is in display I like bigger stuff. The 1/12 scale lines can make for a cluttered looking display pretty fast. So I keep have I have, 1/12 wise, pretty minimal.

so since i was so diehard about getting some ap zombs i ended up with a second 3 pack. its opened but the figures have never been removed. there is tape all around the edges. if anyone is interested just let me know. i just want what i paid back for it.

Speaking of zombs, now that my AK collection is starting to take shape, I keep thinking I need a few to have the "heroes" fight against. Unfortunately, I have a wide variety of interests, so setting aside the funds has been tough. I'd rather just save up for more of the unique characters, but it'd be sure nice to army build a small horde of zombs just to mess around with. I'm thinking next year I will give up Hot Toys and similarly priced brands entirely to focus on 3A and military only.

I dumped HT for 3A. HT got too expensive, and you can't enjoy the damn things, they are too delicate, and have to be in glass cases. Make a zomb horde, you will enjoy it. I love my "pile 'o zombs".

I won't dump my HT, but the prices are really out of hand now, so I'm done with them for the foreseeable future. 3A is not immune to price increases either, but I agree with you that 3A is more "fun" and I'm a lot less concerned about stuff breaking and whatnot as you said.

I wish I had gotten a 3AA membership this year as I think would've gotten more 3A stuff, less HT stuff and generally had a better "play" value overall.

I think my goal for next year is to cut out HT and stick to 3A and modern military.

there are more n.o.m. characters...

-the lady with the gas-bottle between her legs...
-nom de plum
-nom 27

what else???

I see you are going out side of the NOM faction for the other characters, so see below for the de plumes and the fallen:
