Anyone interested in the TKYO figures? I like the one they have shown since the off pink hair and the red jumpsuit match nicely plus the mic is awesome. I will be picking that one up unless there is a really cool 3AA exclusive.

Speaking of which I feel like the only use of being a 3AA member at this point is just the discount. In my opinion the 3AA variant is always the worst version of each figure. It is usually just all black or something like that, which I think ruins a lot of the fun of typical colorful 3A stuff. I wish they would step up on the 3AA exclusives more and give us either totally unique outfits or elaborate unique color schemes or accessories and such. A 3AA TKYO with a different colored jumpsuit (other than black) would be awesome :)

Depends on how the TKYO is being sold as. If there is gonna be a single piece purchase, I may get 1. If it is only sell as a set of 4, probably a big pass for me (unless I can find 3 others who wanted the other 3 :))

As for 3AA exclusive, it is a mixture really. NOM 4th was a 3AA and IMO looks better than NOM 27 which was a regular.
Red Sham was a 3AA only secret drop as well and it came with 2 weapons and 2 spare hands as oppose to Pure Sham which only had 1 weapon and 1 spare hand.
Fighting JC Exegesis was a 3AA also and I think it is one of the best looking FJC out there.
And the 15% discount is the icing on the cake. For big ticket item like the 10 Fingers Faux pack that cost $650 without the discount and will cost $552.5 with discount. A massive 100 bucks savings, almost paid for the money you spent applying for the membership.

Even when I observed my spending this year on 3A is much lesser than last year and probably even lesser next year, I'll continue to renew my membership as long as I'm still collecting 1/6.

New review over at Rad Toy Review! The lovely Red Devil Lady Sham.

I'm really late to the whole 3A party. I finally bit the bullet with the Fighting JC Portable figures. Ordered one of the Palm in the Fist Sunday versions. I don't really know what to expect.

I'm really into the whole art style. Wish I could get a copy (any edition, the cheaper the better) of the first Popbot collection. I'm interested in the fiction. I understand that it's kind of....fluid. Disposable almost, from what I've gathered from wikis and various reviews.

I don't know how or IF any of the figures/characters relate to one another. I just dig the general grungy vibe. I'd like to pick up one of the various versions of Lady Sham but the seemingly random (and extremely limited) nature of the releases is....frustrating. But oh well, it makes it harder to spend money I don't really have anyway.

zipflint, I hope that you will love Fighting JC.

As for Lady Sham - Pure Lady Sham (white version) wasn't limited at all, it was 24 hours open pre-order, so it many of them out there.

Only downside with white version, that stitching on white material was harder, I know that couple of customers had an issue with it. So if you are buying one on the secondary market, please ask seller to make the photo or you can contact [email protected] later on and they will offer you a new suit or ask to send it back to our HK office for repairs.

Here is what I mean:

Yup I contacted them a week ago or so and am going to be getting a replacement suit. They did mention though it might be awhile before they can send one.

Thanks for the info. I'm still in the middle of figuring out what is readily available and what isn't. I see that several of the smaller 'bots are pretty easy to get. The Bramble, I think, the smaller versions.

That's awesome, dedguy! The Phantom *****house looks neat; I hadn't thought of painting just the wooden part—great idea!

Those look fantastic! I've got two sets (regular pink and GITD) of series 1, but I haven't painted any of them yet. (My custom-making time is very limited.)

To get back on topic, I'm surprised at how much I like Johan:

Me too. It's a little understated compared to other releases but its a good design in that respect. The cleanliness of the figure is a bit refreshing too

I liked it quite a bit as well… but there's so much stuff on the horizon I'm going to have to skip him.

I really like him, but him being a secret/limited release is once again incredibly frustrating :/

EDIT: On a second look it seems more like he will just be up for a short period of time but widely available? I hope that is the case.
