Like I said, I found a lot of the emails pretty much incomprehensible (no matter how many times I read them).. except for the fact Bambaland appeared to want me to pay a large annual membership fee.. commit in advance to buy a considerable number of future production figures unseen.. yet still expected me to accept the 'urban vinyl' model of unexpected, short notice Pre-Order drops that 'sold out' in minutes and pay up front for those figures, although they would not actually ship for a very long time.
There also appeared to be a fair amount of mayhem after really popular drops and also figure shipping.. with apology emails for Server crashes, requests to double check orders had gone through, etc.. I know that is not unique to Bambaland.. as I mentioned, I'm familiar with 'urban vinyl' exclusives.. its just more hassle than I want in my life.. particularly if there is a language barrier.

So, for the number of figures I'm actually interested in (just robots and not all of the designs of those offered) ordering direct didn't have much financial appeal, in my particular case.. especially since the non exclusive figures can be purchased through dealers.. other customers' mileage may vary.

I understand all those concerns, but most of the regular bots are up for a good amount of time in the store and you save big time.

The pay up front thing isn't ideal, but I can see why they do it. They know how many they need to make from the orders so they aren't getting a false sense of demand like other companies get when customers order and cancel on the spur of the moment.

You just have to keep an eye out on the blog & you shouldn't have too many surprises.

Need to get a better backdrop put up and work on the lighting, but here's my squad in action! So happy with everything. I have my first WWRp bot coming Monday so I can check the size and see if I want to incorporate some of those so I can get some of the harder to find colorways, but I'm so impressed with these in 1/6.

Everything in this photo ran me just under $700 shipped. Did I do ok?

good price and well done :hi5: the jea is one of the most popular colours.

with or without the membership if you can afford the figure at time of drop then it works out alot cheaper…..

As for the gravedigger I sold mine for £100, the HB's are one of the few bots that I would say haven't held their value

There is no doubt if I want to synchronise my watch with Hong Kong, hit 'refresh' order buttons like crazy in the wee small hours.. treble check logistics at time of order.. and again at shipping, etc.. there are deffo savings to be made.. just as there are with exclusive drops from Huck Gee, JLED, Coarsetoys, KAWS, etc.. at retail outlets in China and Japan.. I simply prefer to pay a dealer to do all that.. ideally someone in the UK or Europe.. so if the package contains the wrong figure or its broken, I can courier it back, relatively inexpensively for refund or replacement.
Like I said, its different strokes for different folks and I know some people love the excitement and the discounts of going direct.

On the other hand, over the last week, that blog's been full of surprises! :) An 8" figure line? Whatever that 2-foot tall WBR is? Plenty in the works this year, by the look of things.

Can't wait looks like this year should be very interesting indeed !!!!!!

Looking for 3A
JC
10 Finger Gang
Little SHadow

And Gorei in the east.

.....but Bromwich is clearly the best ;)
No..Deep Powder ftw! :lol

Both mine have been received, but I'm 5 hours drive away from them. Bromwich actually tried to get here last year on the 30th, and they redelivered with DP and those TQ's. Can't wait to be back home!

Awesome JEA clan Hexic. You need that JEA Bramble mikita got :wink1:

WBR is 1/12 scale, so there's going to be AP WBR! But what's with Mego scale? I love inter-company/license crossovers with different lines, but we're going beyond what all the collectors can get me thinks. What else is Mego scale anyway, are Neca & Playarts? Some one needs to do a proper scale chart with all current collectible lines or something.

I wanted to make a hatless Golden Dolphin ever since I first saw his preview pics. Here is my version:

I took casts of a TK Shogun head and a cast of the face of Golden Dolphin:

Then I attached the Golden Dolphin face to the TK head with Apoxie Sculpt and cast the new hatless Golden Dolphin head:

Finished result (I apologize for my kitchen lighting/cell phone camera pics):

(with flash and without flash, but with crappy kitchen lighting)
