Guys, what are the chances we get a Star Wars line that Ash tried to pull in 2011, now that Disney has bought SW and 3A has a licence for Marvel???

I'd kill for a Boba Fett.

I think Disney would have to go to 3A, It doesn't seem like Ash is going to seek out more licenses. Fans could make it happen maybe.

I picked up my Harolds from the post today. I wasn't expecting them until the end of the month.

Here is the first tease for the Lasstranaut figure that comes with 3AA this year.
It will have a seamless body.
I'm not going 3AA but have bought the figure only form someone who does not want it, I can't wait.

Yum :)

What did you pay for the figure if I may ask? Debating going 3aa but I'm not very interested in keeping the fig.

Not much interested in the Lasstranaut figure meself, but the seamless body they've developed looks cool.

Wonder if we'll see a bit more of that going forward, and not just with 3A. Obviously there's a couple out there, but it's not exactly industry standard yet..

They should probably start using them for the pascha line but I hope they leave the others alone. I don't trust the material over the long term.

Still undecided on the 3aa membership. I definitely don't care for this figure.

Yeah there's a reason why the rubber skin figures have never really caught on. It just doesn't work, or has yet to work. The skin seriously impedes articulation, it pretty much only looks good in whatever pose it was molded in, and by it's very nature any soft flexible material just doesn't have much longevity. Even assuming it doesn't rot or decay in a fairly short period of time… it can definitely stretch out.

I can't find the picture I'm thinking of but there's some pretty gross pics of the Phicen seamless body's skin all stretched out around the elbow.

That's what I'm getting at, really.. the "yet". There's all sorts of advances happening in textiles and fabrication, I wonder when we'll start to see seamless bodies move on a gear. It may not be this 3A one; but it'll be intriguing if it's better than what's currently out there.

I just don't think it's possible. Any flexible material by it's very nature is not terribly durable.

So wait, is she not wearing pants? And if so, she has no sexual organs or waste dump?

Could just be a mockup or early prototype. The imagery that AW paints of this character has very explicit organs, usually dripping something or other.

2nd year for me as well. Not too terribly psyched for Lasstranaut but the membership fee will more than pay for itself.

I didn't know this was based on previous illustrations. After seeing the pics I have two thoughts. First, it's still a slightly disturbing dumb idea to make a figure of this. Second, they wussed out on it on top of that. She should have the same coloring as the illustrations and it should be anatomically correct sculpting. In short, obviously naked from the waist down except for shoes. So, not only is this a disturbing figure, it's a cop out as well.
