'Cause he's got a bum leg :huh So simple...

Awesome repaint and hairing job on the Harbinger; 10x better than the actual figure. And honestly the actual figure wasn't too bad to begin with. But clearly this is at a whole different level.

Love the harbinger but.... what would a zombie be using a crutch for?

He had a bad leg and limp in life. As a zombit, it shambles around trying to hobble with the crutch totally due to muscle memory. Since he feels no pain anymore, he'd be fine to drop the crutch. The priest had a bad leg in life but not a broken leg ;) and will shamble around on it until it outright fails.

Just an idea anyways :)

Thank you. I'd like to find more 'the dead' to mod but the prices are for the collector's market now and out of my range.

as stated previously, i decided to quit hiding the nude, plastic neck and texture/paint up the darned thing. i sprayed the neck with about 3 or 4 coats of dullcote, then took an old brush that was stuck together, cut the bristles into about 4 "prongs", dipped the brush in matte medium and dragged it across the neck, turning it while doing so a la a turntable. after that dried, i mixed and color matched my neck to skin tone, then mixed that up with a bit more matte medium and applied. i dull coated to downplay gloss then reapplied future floor shine where i wanted it.

i was going to originally color-match sculpey then apply a small layer over the next to sculpt detail/definition into. i did this, but the neck was too burly and didn't look right.

i also went on thread patrol and cut away any potential loose threads or hems that would interfere with the neckline of the overshirt.

SIDESHOW COLLECTIBLES - SUBJECT 2221: Harbinger MOD CUSTOM by 8-bit commando, on Flickr

here's the completed head and the first shots from my home studio with lighting. i bought a lighting kit and strobe. makes a huge difference. i added some mohair - just enough to see it - maybe a few strands per tuft of sculkpted hair) , filter color and that's it. some spittle strings broke, but i can always add more if i want to.
