Why support it if you want it back at Marvel
*breaks character* Why are you so closeminded as to not understand the concept of loyalty? I've been reading comics since before you were squirted out. Whether or not I enjoy a superhero movie, I feel I have the obligation to support the genre so that while I might not like this one, future releases are still viable. This is why if I can't make one opening weekend, I literally send someone else on my dime so that the film gets my tickets. The film industry, which you've proven quite inept at understanding, doesn't necessarily look at a "bigger picture." If a movie that cost them millions to make tanks, they might very well deem the property worthless. And while I know for a fact the property would be better at Marvel Studios and we'd likely get Jackman popping up in Avengers, the issue remains that the rest of the X-Men would likely get sidelined for a decade or more while they figure out how to develop it properly.
Additionally, it frustrates me to no end when you have characters and storylines that are already written or basically write themselves, and some idiot film maker wants to put his personal stamp on it for the sake of a feather in his cap. That's why I really despised ASM, why I'm not digging on it's sequel and why I'm hating almost everything I've seen here. It wasn't broken, it didn't need fixing and I'm worried this is going to suck sweaty donkey nuts.
