I wanted to stop at,

"It’s the best Spidey movie so far, and it might just be the best comic book movie that I've ever seen."

Yeah, but he qualified that, i think? not the best superhero movie, the best comic book movie, in that it felt like a moving comic book.
...at least thats how i read it..

I never realised there was a special edition of Spiderman 2 with alternate/extended scenes, reinstated scenes etc.

The version I remember had the guy in the elevator just comment on Spiderman's suit and Spiderman reply ''it rides up the crotch a little though'' or something. The one I watched the other day had that scene much longer, additional action in the train fight scene etc etc.

Yeah, that's the 2.5 or whatever.

I think I prefer that one. I'm at the point now though where I've sort of forgotten what the "original" theatrical version is. I did the same thing with Terminator 2.

I'd love to see the theatrical cut of T2 again but I'd have to download it I think. They only put the special edition on our DVD over here. Not sure about the bluray.

Must admit the Peter/Gwen love theme in the score is pretty heartbreaking. I also like Spidey's theme. The rest isn't doing much for me.

I liked when he said this series is more concerned with franchise building. All of their scenes are just to get from point A to B. None of it was thought of in "the present." The audience is going to get to the end of this sequel marathon and find that it lacked a lot of substance. I can't understand why people like it.

Tdk,spiderman 2 and avengers are my top superhero movies of all time. Tasm2 comes in second to spiderman 2. It's soooo much better than asm which was only decent. I feel asm2 would be much better if the villians were handled just alittle better.

the biggest problem i see is that if one of those movies fail what are they going to do? reboot it AGAIN?

If let's say the next spiderman does really bad, or the Venom movie, then would they keep going with the plan for the sinister six? even if one of their movies flops completely?

Imagine if this movie was the last movie of this series, then there would be no resolution for Goblin or Rhino. That's the problem with these movies trying to copy Marvel.
Marvel can take a loss if it happens, these movies can't. they are relying on the movie to do really well. (I Know the sequels are already being prepared but still)

This is true Sony isnt stupid Reboot until people get sick of it imo the few marvel films were ok nothing great seems they are milking the cow also.

There's a determination now to get that Avengers money. A film would have to be a pretty big flop for them not to forge ahead regardless at this point.
