I tended to agree with most of what he said, good and bad
Yup. Me too.

I wanted to stop at,
"It’s the best Spidey movie so far, and it might just be the best comic book movie that I've ever seen."

Yeah, that's the 2.5 or whatever.
I think I prefer that one. I'm at the point now though where I've sort of forgotten what the "original" theatrical version is. I did the same thing with Terminator 2.
Must admit the Peter/Gwen love theme in the score is pretty heartbreaking. I also like Spidey's theme. The rest isn't doing much for me.
You’re watching the movie right now?
I gotta say that this review pretty much sums up how I feel about this film.
Yeah, but he qualified that, i think? not the best superhero movie, the best comic book movie, in that it felt like a moving comic book.
...at least thats how i read it..
Raimi's Spiderman 2 is still the best Spider-man film to date
I liked when he said this series is more concerned with franchise building. All of their scenes are just to get from point A to B. None of it was thought of in "the present." The audience is going to get to the end of this sequel marathon and find that it lacked a lot of substance. I can't understand why people like it.
the biggest problem i see is that if one of those movies fail what are they going to do? reboot it AGAIN?
If let's say the next spiderman does really bad, or the Venom movie, then would they keep going with the plan for the sinister six? even if one of their movies flops completely?
Imagine if this movie was the last movie of this series, then there would be no resolution for Goblin or Rhino. That's the problem with these movies trying to copy Marvel.
Marvel can take a loss if it happens, these movies can't. they are relying on the movie to do really well. (I Know the sequels are already being prepared but still)
