That would be interesting, but I don't see how they can fix the inconsistency of Oscorp and Avengers Tower not being present previously. The only way it can work is if the ASM movies take place before the avengers since I see oscorp tower being taken down long before I see Avengers tower being destroyed.

EDIT: Then again maybe Avengers Tower can be destroyed. idk, I just see Oscorp as a gigantic building that's ultra tall compared to avengers tower atm. You simply can't miss a shot of that building if the cameras up in the sky.

New York is a big city. :lol Even then it'll never happen. :(

We'll never see a true encompassing marvel universe.

I was scratching my head. The movie doesn't suck by any means to me. I liked the movie but I felt the pacing was slower than I would've preferred at times. Max seemed pretty campy before he became Electro. Harry was good. Personally, the humor didn't really work for me in it for some reason.

Didn't it feel rushed. And crammed? The whole movie felt fast.

Just remembered some cheesy lines:

"It's my birthday. Time to light my candles"

That was the only line that stood out to me as real cheese in a bad way. Well also a little when he's at OSCORP with the German guy but honestly even that I can holster under the idea that it's OSCORP and they do have a lot of weirdos working for them. I mean Kafka is over the top, but so is Doc Ock with a bowl cut and the whole ordeal or even Connors and his arm and ideas. :lol

Fire fighter hat? Good god.

No way, that was awesome. :lol Total Spidey moment working with the Fire Department to take down Electro with a hose. Was both simple and cool. Far better than the cranes in ASM1 imo.

Just remembered some cringe worthy lines:

"It's my birthday. Time to light my candles"

"Your a fraud Spider-Man!"

"A God named sparkles?"

*Rhinos over the top laughing at the beginning*

I actually liked that line. It was true to how the character, especially the Ultimate version antagonizes Electro. Even when Pete was about to die he takes digs at him.

Truthfully, I can forgive that line, but the scene where Max gets super defensive in the one guys face saying "There's no way Spider-Man would (blah blah blah with the over the top behavior)" was flat out ridiculous even if it wasn't real.

ALOT of people keep going on about the Garfield/Stone on-screen chemistry being amazing.
That DOES tend to happen when two people are ACTUALY dating outside the films they make. GREAT strength to this series so far... but.... lets see what happens next.

"AMAZING" SPIDER-MAN 2 is one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. It's like a really long, boring Joel Schumacher Batman movie, but not as entertaining. I feel like I need to put SPIDER-MAN 3 and MAN OF STEEL on loop to wash the taste out of my mouth.

I knew I should have learned my lesson after the last one; but I'm officially done with Spidey until Disney sues to get the rights back.

...wow.

The same can be said for Return of the Jedi. I always thought it and the rest of the OT were generally regarded as classics and equal in quality, but I was shocked to see more than a few people here say it's "crap", or, "as bad as the prequels".
It's trendy to hate Ewoks. That, and anything that's not Grim and gritty, and " I'm goth i fart bats" is generaly hated these days.

Who knows. general consensis from people seems to be that the TRUELY DIEHARD FANS of the first ones loved this movie, but on the whole, it's not that great. it seems this ASM series is on a slow downswing. if it fails enough long term that disney feels its damaging to the characters image, they may take t back, or sony may relinquish it.

Time will tell.

End-section disclaimer: I've not seen it yet, and i'll wait for the discount theatre, or the video release. i did not care for ASM, so i'm in no hurry to see this one.

The fire hat scene was one scene I laughed at comfortably. The scene where Electro charges up in the screen and levitates out was badass with the epic music, but when he started shooting the electricity at random crap, I was sitting there thinking "what is your goal here? Is it property damage or are you just really horrible with hitting human targets?"

He didn't the hat though. :lol

I liked the ending with the rhino though. His little *** at him was pretty good. And I liked how he tossed that police blowhorn over his shoulder. Total police cooperation. Hilarious.

ROTJ was a mere shadow of the film that came just three years before it(TESB). Hard to believe they are from the same series...Jedi is entertaining but so much of it loses the vibe and mood of the first two films. Ford is pricelessly bad in it(the script helped there)

Sorry to go off topic..just had to get that *** in :lecture

He didn't need it but that's what makes him Spiderman. :lol He's a cocky kid saving thousands of people, I could totally see him just grabbing some guy's helmet and throwing it on.

I think that's something people are forgetting because of just how amazing the chemistry between he and Gwen are... He's only a kid just out of high school! And he's Spiderman, I dunno if I'd be able to be as modest as he is when I was that age if you gave me superpowers.

The end was great. I mean those cops were about to die. I wouldn't be terribly upset that the giant rocket launching robot is now focused on some other guy. :lol

It's reciprocal too; New York loves spider-man. It's pretty cool how they have everyone cheering for him. That love gives him confidence.

The only thing cool about ROTJ was final fight between Luke & Vader. And the assault on the death star.

I actually loved that part. Most of the people in the theater were cracking up.

Definitely. I really felt like this movie portrayed the relationship between the hero and his city better than any other movie in this genre. None of the interactions where he saved people (and that happened plenty) felt corny or unnecessary. And the appreciation returned was just right and not silly like Raimi's movies or the crane last time around. It's really touching.

The only other movie that came close to conveying the level of gratitude was Avengers but it feels disconnected because it's just a news report, as opposed to direct interaction with the hero.

Now bring on JJJ to **** those good vibes up, pronto! :lol

But, but...crane dad :(

Anywho, the thing about the Peter dancing and being cocky scenes in Spidey 3...I always thought my friend kinda made a cool point about how maybe Peter thought that, THAT is what he thinks would make him seem cool and hip since he still is a nerd and such. It's cheesy as hell, yeah but maybe it's what he thought would make him cool.

But the symbiote doesn't make him cool, it makes hm stronger, more violent, and angrier. Venom should never give him dance moves, or an emo haircut.
