As i said, we don't know at the moment.
DC/warner swore up and down they had more movies planned for green lantern, and still have Ryan reynolds under contract for hal Jordan.
To my knowledge, they never officialy canned those plans, just shelved them.

Leson is in the know, so it's POSSIBLE. But it's also possible he was joking.

You know he apologized for making that joke a couple hours later, right?

Just sayin'

Could be damage control. Could be something else. Could be an out an out hoax.
we'll find out in 6-18 months. just seems like an odd thing to say.

I have to agree. Right now spidey would be better off at marvel even though I enjoyed this movie. Sony seems like they just want to milk the franchise now.

Well yea but it this one kinda feels a little souless. Doesnt matter. marvel or not ill still watch these movies.

The film was at least half an hour too long. I get why they had to show the romantic scenes with Peter and Gwen, but to me they just dragged on. I don't know if it's the fact that these two are a couple in real life, so they just wanted to show them together more, but it was just boring.

Then there was the whole story with his dad and the secret subway train that all still worked after all these years and no one else had ever found. Seemed too far fetched to me.

There appeared to be 3 movies all in one with this film. Electro V Spider-man, The Green Goblin V Spider-man and then Rhino V Spider-man right at the end. I feel like they did try to cramp too much into this one movie.

:lol :lol

A movie where a guy can stick to walls and another guy can throw lightning bolts and you find a mechanical device far fetched?

Come on isn't it just a little convenient that Peter can find the train, that everything is intact, including the video which then explains the spider will only work on a Parker's DNA?

The hero and villians in the show don't matter because that's always in the realm of fantasy, but if they're going to create this whole backstory, it doesn't have to be so out there.

The whole idea of Peter's dad creating the Spider didn't really need to be included imo.

I didn't hate the movie though, there were some good parts in it and the action sequences were fantastic.

I think they just tried to put too much into the film, perhaps with the third one they'll scale it back a bit and make a more balanced film.
