It's not really the age that has much to do with it. Once second semester at my school started and we got new randomly-assigned seats (ugh), we had to introduce ourselves to the rest of our table groups and say what our favorite films were, after which we went around the class going over all the answers.
Not surprisingly, less than five people mentioned movies that didn't come out in the last five to ten years (but one said "V For Vendetta," can't argue with that). Some actually had the nerve to answer with films that were released in '10 and '11. It's a little sad.

Let's not overexaggerate. Tobey went from scrawny to slightly less scrawny. We aren't talking Chris Evans kind of transformation
While Spider-Man wouldn't require the change of that drastic quality, let's not talk about it like it was. Anyway the transformation being referred to is in attitude and overall appearance. The early Spidey is full of himself after, basically an _______ who has to be humbled. Even when Tobey tried it still had that "gee golly willakers" feel. Even Franco achieved personality change better than Maguire throughout.
