Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

The last I heard is that they are sending out Pete's backpack to certain members of the press. Would be cool to actually have one.

I know 12 backpacks were already handed out to 'selected' fans. Came with a pair of Asix, an issue of the Daily Bugle, a notebook (pic posted on one of the previous pages), some photos, Chemistry book and some misc. items like googles, etc.

Right now, fans are on the hunt for cell phones and sweatshirts. If I was close to one of the locations, I'd so be all over it. I have the whole day off. :(

Is there a list of locations?

Yep. New York City, Denver, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Seattle, and Phoenix. 5 packages in each city.

All 5 packages in NYC have been picked up. All other 'missions' are currently in-progress.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Lame. Not even close to me :lol

Same here. :(

That's the only nice thing about it...Had I know it was 'right under my nose' and missed it, I would have been a little ticked. But it's so far from me that I can't complain too much. Now I must live vicariously through others and their good fortune. :lol

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I will say though that I hope it 'fans' out a little more like the Dark Knight viral years back. I remember going to a Harvey Dent rally at a local mall and getting a bunch of swag. Fun times.

Oh the memories....:monkey2

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Or buy one on eBay :lol

True. But there's so many shady people on their nowadays that if I don't find it myself, I don't know if I trust to buy it from someone who claims it's authentic. You know?

Too many imitators who I'm sure will try and cash in. Plus it kind of takes the sense of pride of owning one out of the equation. Buying it is one thing, but finding it or 'winning' it? That's awesome. :rock

That's true.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Looks like ATL should be wrapping up soon....

Sorry for the play-by-play guys. I figured at least Zach is interested. Right, Zach?.....Right?!?!? :panic: :lol

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I was excited for this until I saw the Lizard action figures. It's going to be tough no matter how good the rest of the movie is to recover from such a terrible looking main character.

The only problem I have with the Lizard's design is the head (and that's if I'm being really picky.) other then that I don't mind it.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Yea I don't like how human the head is at all and I don't see anything changing that.

I am however excited what going that far into a hybrid of a human/animal holds for other villains. Rather then a stupid looking helmet mask, we should get a more classic looking Green Goblin eventually. Vulture could look cool in a sequel as well.

Imagine the possibilities for Venom. :panic:

Oh, I agree about the action figure. It does look horrible, but I've never been much to trust those things anyway. I think we'll see a big difference on-screen. Even seeing that Diamond Select bust was like 'night vs. day' compared to the action figure.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Fan in Atlanta are taking their time with the last assignment. It's been every bit of 30 mins. + and still no signs of discovery.
