Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

This lighting looks so fake. I'm shocked it looks like this considering 500 days of summer is one of the most natural and pure looking films I've ever seen. I wonder why Webb would want to change his aesthetic so much is beyond me.

While it seems like something really petty to _____ about, it does look fake. The bridge lights are overhead, not directly coming from Spidey's left. Also, despite there being green lights on the bridge, there're none reflecting off his suit. Plus, the light on his ass looks photoshopped. :lol

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Not in this case. looks fine to me. if it were black and white and grainy then it would be a big deal.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Actually the lighting is quite glaringly fake looking in a lot of the scenes in this.

I think the trailers looks pretty good but I'm just not digging the night + neon colours, it's adding to that fake look to my eyes.

I'll still check it out when it hits, we'll see how it turns out.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

it's just the stationary shots that look weird and very staged. when he's in motion and web slinging, it looks awesome. it's mainly the exterior shots when the cameras still and hes just sitting there that look off. I'm still freaking excited for this though, it's spiderman, how could I not be.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

The bridge scene in the beginning of that new 4 minute super trailer was extremely humorous to me. The music, the way it was cut . . . lil' Spider-Man climbing out of the car. I loled.

It looks big and stupid. I think I like Curt Connors/The Lizard though. Some of the quick shots look really exciting. I really dig the lab coat look too.

Agree with all the "looks fake" comments. It does look like ____. Every shot that involves Spider-Man looks bad. :lol @ the people boasting about all the alleged "practical" web swinging shots. Oh and it looks like every other shot has Garfield unmasked, seems familiar . . .

Still, looking forward to it. I wonder if that's Norman Osborn talking to Connors in the trailer? That would be cool if he's set up for a future film. I'm also interested in Sheen and Fields portrayals of Ben and May Parker.

I've also been following the movie video game. From what I've seen it looks really good.

I hope this movie under-performs just so Sony will consider selling Spiderman's film rights back to Marvel. I'd be fine with Marvel Studios keeping Garfield and continuing with this film as a starting point. I simply want this franchise to move from Sony to Marvel, otherwise I have no problem with what I've seen.

With the exception of the Xmen First Class sequel this will be my default POV from now on with non-Marvel-produced Marvel films.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

The only benefit i can see of Marvel Studios making Spidey is having ties to other heroes, though I don't wanna see him minimalised to just another member of The Avengers.

To see him be a founding member of a New Avengers team on-screen with Luke Cage, Iron Fist and others would be cool

This makes no sense if you want to see a Spidey movie every two to three years. Marvel are already stretched at two movies.

Spidey 1 & 2 were great and this is shaping up nicely. I've no problem with Sony making these as long as they are good.

Fantastic Four and Daredevil on the other hand.
