Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

So what. Looks like his mask is going to be off, just as much as Toby did.

I'm just sayin. For all the _____in you guys do on the older flicks, this one sure is doing a lot of the "wrong" things.

But we'll see.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Badmoon says it's gonna flop. Now i KNOW it's gonna rock! :yess:

Seriously i couldn't disagree more and it's not cause of my avatar or sig. I'm already on record saying it will only be a tad better than SM1.

Plus the fact that you say it has big shoes to fill. Where i and a lot of people find the Raimi films to be Mediocre at best. (SM2 being the best) This film already FEELS more Spider-Man just from the trailers than the Raimi films to me.
Really? The Garfield guy definitely fits the Spiderman description better than Tobey, but the whole atmosphere/vibe of the originals feels much more Spidermany than these very dark and serious trailers, imo.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Haven't seen Garfield cry once :yess:

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Meh, The Dark Knight Rises didn't invent that. And this is probably closer to the Spiderman version anyway:

:exactly: Though I'm certain it goes back way further than T:S. But meh, it's a ____ing poster. :huh

:lecture:lecture:lecture :exactly:

And then look for the excuses when this winds up being identical but worse, with Parker's "genetically engineered" aspect. It didn't work for Ang Lee's Hulk, and it'll bomb here too.

Haven't seen Garfield cry once YET!

Fixed for accuracy. :wink1:

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I got no problems with Garfield.

I just got a problem with the "old bad bad, new is good" mentality.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Man, I hope this movie has a 10 minute crying scene of Parker sitting is room, balling, tears and snot pouring out of his face, while he wipes his eyes and nose with a Nickleback Poster, with Macy Grey playing in the background, when suddenly Defoe Gobby shows up and beats him into a coma, and then Bruce Campbell kicks him off the building, and he ____ing dies.

:lol

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Yeah, but isn't that the very thing you guys seem to have an issue with in Spider-Man 2? He took his mask off so he could save hundreds of people.

I did like that scene with the kid. It was a good scene...but it's just, hypocritical.

I never said I had a problem with it. it was understandable in 2 but in three it was over the top. He swung with his mask off,he fought with his mask off. His mask was off 85percent of the time.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Well, three was horrible. But everyone brings up Spidey 2. And the battle ravaged mask in Spidey 1. So...i'm just saying.

Spidey 2 was the best spiderman movie so people will be quick to compare this movie to that one. Just like people will compare tdkr to the dark knight. The only problem I had with spidey 2 is his constant whining about not wanting to be a hero. Those movie's really made spidey a wimp.
