If they REALLY needed to show emotion THAT bad on Spiderman, they could've done something like this. For example, during the train scene, they could've let him keep his mask on while showing half of his face without the mask for a few seconds. That would show what he looks like underneath the mask, and allow them to get back to the full-real mask without putting on/removing anything. If the mask or face looks wrong or too CGI during this, screw it.
