Seeing Spidey with a iTOUCHEEEEEX9837 BUTT PIECE just makes the Webb films so dated, still can't believe Peter used a cellphone in those films.

Except cellphones were common during the raimi films, hardly anyone used payphones.

You do know Peter Parker was poor as ____ right? Norman had a cellphone, Harry had one, they were seen in Spider-Man 3. Peter Parker did not.

Peter Parker was broke and was lucky if he had enough change to use a pay phone in time to keep talking to Mary Jane.

I don't see how that constitutes as making the films feel dated when cell phonse were clearly used in the film. Parker just didn't have one.

And this film will be dated as well. I don't know what the hells the issue. The movie existed in that time and place.

Thing is a lot of the clips they've released have been lack luster and stupid.

The first one with the doorman was awful. I think the only good one was with the knife, Spider-Man and the carjacker but even that one was goofy.

I've been pretty optimistic and open minded about this one but everything I'm seeing seems to be "meh". Maybe that will change when I see it, but so far, this looks like crap. The music is weird, the pacing in the scenes are weird. Looks and feels bad.

Yeah and there has been criticism towards the other clips as well. It's not like people are just logging in, seeing that taxi clip and thinking, "THIS IS ____". This has been a gradual thing since the film was announced. From the suit to the music to the scenes. July is only a month away and what has this film had to show for yet?

I've liked a few things now I guess, like Dr. Connors or the casting of Ben and May Parker but I have yet to be wowed. Other people seem to feel the same way and are mentioning as much.

Who said the raimi films were bad ? You don't know spiderman so let me explain. Spiderman is more untuned with the comic. Tobey seemed to whine a lot. The reason why I think people are going against raimi is because it was all we had at the time. Now this reboot comes along and people want to see spidey done a different way .
