Because Raimi has been the only one to make a spider-man movie(s) besides Webb. And since this new movie is coming out, people think Raimi's spider-man movies are garbage.

Actually I will say the poses Spidey pulls off midflight look pretty awesome. But apart from that, I'm in total agreement with you, DiFabio, and... I think nam?
This reboot is pointless. It should have been a soft reboot if they didn't want to keep Raimi and Macguire (which I personally would have preferred but whatever).

Of course but what about the people that aren't digging what they're seeing? Are they not allowed to comment on it?
You can think this is the best thing ever, that's fine. Honestly, I don't mind. It's your opinion and your view point. That's not going to stop me from disliking what I'm seeing though.
Everyone should be able to chime in, from Nova and Oscorp to Celtic and Nam no matter the view point. You have people who are gushing and people who are hating. That's just how it is.

I appreciate they're trying to do it practical, but it doesn't feel right. I mean, that whole chase isn't needed. Spidey just shoots a web out and flies away. Why does he need to have all that interaction with various vehicles?
This is exactly where CGI is a useful tool. For things you can't do in real life.

That's the one I was thinking about. I saw that as a GIF and another somewhere. I haven't watched these clips posted. Why watch so many scenes before the movie's out? I'm not even bothering with this in theaters and am not excited for it at all but I am curious and don't wanna ruin my first viewing with all this footage.

Are you really that dense? I don't see how someone isn't allowed to say a movie looks like ____ when they're basing their opinions off of tv spots and trailers the company is using to promote the film.

I've always considered the first two Spider-man movies among the best comicbook movies. But I do wonder if you have ever actually read Amazing Spider-man? So far I see some real improvements in certain areas.
MJ was miscast in the first two movies. Gwen Stacy looks like she was drawn by Romita Sr.
The Spider-man swinging scenes look so much more natural and Spidey like. They even have the iconic McFarlane pose.
And Spidey is much more "smartass" in the trailers than the entire three previous movies.
Peter Parker is also much smarter already than the previous three movies in keeping with the comic.
