If we get anything out of the USM series. It's going to be the "Hip/new age" Type of surroundings/atmosphere. I enjoyed it as well, hopefully we get the best out of it.

I really didnt like USm . What they did to carnage was stupid. imo of course

you must have liked it for a while considering Carnage doesn't appear in Ult. Spiderman until issues 52 or 53....somewhere around there any way and is still involved way into the issues 60's

It has been confirmed that Peter will begin in College. Very little official stuff has been released since other than the MJ/Gwen triangle.

Phillip Seymour Hoffman is apparently rumored to be playing...Venom? What the hell? I don't think they are even trying anymore, last time I checked, Venom/Eddie Brock wasn't a middle aged fat dude.

it's just funny as people pictured him to be playing the penguin in the next batman movie, kind of more appropriate for his look.

Phillip Seymour Hoffman is an excellent actor, what are you smoking...

Not that I would pick him to play venom (that's just ridiculous) but I would love to see him as the penguin.

You could have said the same thing about Heath Ledger before TDK came out (unless you had bothered to watch Lords of Dogtown).

You need a big dude to play Venom. Eddie Brock was a body builder in the comics if I recall and thats what I really had against Topher Grace as Eddie/Venom was he was way to small. Arnie in his prime would have been a great Venom (phyique wise anyway). Anywho I don't want to see Venom if this is gonna be a reboot. Bring in Vulture or Kraven or Shocker or King Pin.

I would want to see Venom come back in the reboot simply because they didn't do him justice at all in SM3. And as for physique I think there is a happy medium between Arnold and Topher that would fit in well.

You know who would make a great Venom (based on his look in USM)? Ben Foster. Shave his head a little and you've got an actor that's a pretty good spitting image of Eddie Brock. He was great in Pandorum, among other flicks, and he'd channel the energy of the character quite well IMO.

And, of course, Jackie Earle Hayley as Cletus Cassidy. Simply because... well, must I provide a reason?

He was small but lifted weights to get big, cause he was just so pissed at PP, if i recall.

Brock was stocky, not necessarily fat but very "square" when he was first introduced and upon accepting the symbiote he went insane lifting, using the symbiote to continue pushing himself out. When he appears in the costuming it was supposed to shock the reader seeing the body style change but McFarlane played it down. Bagley made it more dramatic but Brock didn't start that way.

I haven't read a Spider-Man comic in ages so my memory is very shakey at best but I allways remember Brock being big. Bigger than Peter and definately bigger than Topher Grace.

Anywho I like Amber Heard for Gwen Stacy (though I hear Heard is also being considered for Sue Storm in the F4 reboot aswell)

I liked Bryce Dallas Howard as Gwen. I know they won't bring her back cause they gotta separate from that, but damn i thought she was nice. Good actress IMO to boot as well.

She was good in a wasted role. I'd like for them to bring her back, but Im sure they consider her too 'old' now.
