Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I've watched every trailer and tv spot and only just noticed the feet of the suit, looks like modified running shoes or something? Spidey air max?

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

hey now! Not all of us TDK fans are bent on seeing Spider-Man fail! I love all super heroes! Especially Spider-Man!

LOL, fair enough. I am a Fan of both Bats and Spidey, myself

Air Spideys?

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I'm a bigger Spidey fan than Bats, but i do love Bats too. I think the reason i have more excitement for this is that TDKR looks so bleak and depressing. Spidey looks more fun & energetic

not only that but after the Vomit inducing Spiderman 3 who can blame you, plus Tobey was getting on my nerves as spidey, plus he was too fat to be spiderman,

How many times are you going to repeat yourself?

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Thankfully, it sounds like we won't have to deal with the Ang Lee's HULK origin angle afterall. But early word on the film is mixed.

From BadAssDigest:
By the way, for those keeping score: The Amazing Spider-Man screened in New York last week. There were a handful who liked it (mostly people you never heard of, to be frank), a few who felt it was forgettable and unnecessary, and some who hated it. The biggest Spider-Man fan I know found it to be a travesty. But most important: all of the changed origin stuff is gone. The bits about Peter's dad manipulating his genetic code is out, meaning there now is NO "Untold Story."

Still, I am lowering my expectations again. Cautious Optimism is usually the best policy.

I love how the anticipation of this thread moves up or down with each new snippet posted:D I'm hoping for a fun summer movie at best.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Okay just back from seeing this. Wow where do I start. Well I'm not going to spoil this for anyone other than to say this is the Spider-man I grew up reading. It was pitch perfect with the right amount of story and action. The tone, look and feel of this movie is completely different to the Raimi trilogy. In many ways it is an Indy movie, I know that will sound strange, maybe it's how the director envisioned it. The casting was great all round. The cinematography was superb and the 3D added to the look and contributed to an overall pleasant experiance. The one let down is the score, there was no inspiring piece of music to associate with our hero.

This is every bit as good as Avengers, but it is as different from Avengers as you could possibly get. This is no team sport. I really hope this gets the box office it deserves which should be alot. I cannot wait to discuss this one with you guys when you eventually get to see it.

Highly recommended 9.5/10
