I just find it hilarious the chief complaint for the haters is similarities. Yea they draw from the same important source material, its like your _____ing about the fact that Burton and Nolan both killed Bruce Wayne's parents.

Also if it feels a little familiar it's probably because you've seen it before not once, but three times with Raimi. Same plot formula three movies in a row, do you really want me to repeat the whole thing again?

He does the same thing with Evil Dead, ED2, AOD, DMTH and now an Evil Dead remake. Find a plot formula, milk it dry until your doing Moe and Curly slapstick, move to the next, repeat, then backtrack and redo it again. He's worse then Lucas.

Crimewave, The Gift, For The Love of the Game, A Simple Plan.....those movies are totally alike.

But still. I find your hate in Raimi, and love for this soulless reboot funny. Please continue, so we can hate each other over a remake. :lol

I guess ppl wanted both of peters parents to get shot in an alley while he watches in horror, years later decides that he wants to dress up like a bat and prowl the city taking out the bad guys by the name of joker, is that story more fitting and to ppls liking? would that work? yeah?

No. I wanted a movie about Spider-Man, that was incredibly different from the Raimi movies.

I didn't want this at all...but if they had to do it, they should've taken the Incredible Hulk route. And just worked the character from there.

Captain America did the Origin thing already, so there was no need for Captain America: The First Avenger to do it either :lecture

If this made came 30 years after Spider-Man 3, I don't think anyone would've minded.

Plus, that's different, and you know it. :lol

so I'm just curious, when you have a reboot and you have to do whatever you can to not fumble the story in the beginning, tell me
how would you tell it, your forgetting it's the beginning of a reboot, of the sequel blows (which it wount!) than you have my permission to scold me.

Here's how i'd do it.

He's Spider-Man already. He's been Spider-Man for a year. We have flash backs to the parents, for added affect, maybe flash back to Uncle Ben, to refresh our memory.

I don't really care what else happens. The movie started to pick up when he became Spider-Man.

Also, i'd make him nicer.

but it is different, Nova clearly pointed that out earlier on in the thread.

You're thinking of the little details.

The way it all goes down, is roughly the same. That's the problem. It didn't add much new things.

But we've been through this, or I have anyway. I don't know why i'm here. :lol

I'll just watch from the sidelines. :lol

not without Tobey, I find it hard to watch a movie that's picked up by a different Peter Parker, the movie would stink to high hell.

Yeah and i loved the film. But i wouldve been much happier having joined spiderman a few months in, parker narrating how he became spiderman and what this great evil is he facing right now.

It was handled much better in ASM and i rate it better than any Raimi film. Its just seeing the origin again was just.... yeah hurry up and become spiderman and get this story started!

mmmmmmnNO there were pretty big differences. compare both and get back to me.

:goodpost:

Those are valid, genuine concerns :clap. :wave

No it wouldn't. Not even in the slightest.

It's like James Bond.

That's how a series should be rebooted. Enough of this origins crap. EVERYONE KNOWS Spider-Man's origin.

Everyone. Even kids today know. Know why? Because Spider-Man 2002 is still around. Kids still watched it. Or they watched the cartoon, or they read the wikipedia page.

There was no need for this movie. It was made only to keep the rights. Only for money. It wasn't made because they had a good story, or a good vision, it was created for, and only for money.

Most films, they have a reason to be made, other then money. Batman Begins was made for money, but Nolan had a unique vision. And that worked.
