Didn't see a thread for it yet, but is anyone excited to see this? FX has rarely let me down on tv series so I really hope this one turns out to be just as good as everything else on the network. Heres the trailer for anyone who hasn't seen it yet

Yeah I have faith in this. FX has given us some incredible shows.

Yep, their track record alone is enough to give this a watch. The Shield, Justified, SoA, Rescue Me, Nip/Tuck; they know drama, that's for damn sure. They seem to know how to do funny, as well, with the likes of Archer, Sunny, The League, Wilfred, and Louie.

Not gonna lie, thought the premiere was pretty weak for an hour and a half.

I'll give it a few more though.

Yea, I was a bit disappointed as well. Some of the things these top KGB agents did were ridiculous - having sex at the body drop location? Really? Not all that worried about getting caught, are you? - but my biggest problem is how they are handling Russell's character so far. I don't mind rooting for someone that would be traditionally considered the bad guy - that's what makes Dexter so good. But Dexter has layers, he's got an interesting pesonality with lots of gray areas. Russell's character doesn't...yet. Right now, she's all black and white, which makes for a much less interesting lead. OTOH, her husband has those grays, making him more interesting right now. I'm willing to give it a few episodes though to see if we start to get a few cracks in her diehard persona, as that change from ultra patriot to unsure and confused could be very interesting.
