Watched the premiere and was entertained, but not sure I get Russell's allegiance to the KGB yet. Seems like being "abused" (avoiding spoilers) by Senior Officers would not instill the type of rabid patriotism she was demonstrating.

Also, after living and enjoying life in America for several years, it should become pretty clear to all but the most severely indoctrinated that the propaganda just wasn't true.

Her husband gets it, not sure how she doesn't yet.

No question that he wants the America dream, so to speak. She obviously has her loyalties no matter what happened to her in the past. We just need to see if they continue. Knowing her husband feels differently than her, I wonder how it will sway their future. I'm looking forward to finding out!

Yeah I like how Phillip was trying to defect in one episode, but Elizabeth is all about loyalty.

~Does anyone else find it funny how Phillip is edgy when he's around Stan (FBI neighbor)? It's also hilarious how he's the spyhunter when he's got two living right across the street.

Season 2 premiere is tonight. Loved the whole cold war era spy games of the 70s and early 80s.

Great season opener. It certainly changes the tone of the series once Elizabeth and Phillip realize that their children are in danger due to the brutal murder of the other family of Russian spies.
