Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Batman is cliched ****. :dunno

True, but these writers and filmmakers could come up with a better response. The Lego Batman movie knew what was up.

No kid likes Batman because, "he's just like me, he's human!" or "he's psychologically tortured!". They like him because he looks cool and has cool stuff. Either Matt Reeves is lying or lil Matt Reeves was a weird ass kid.

Matt Reeves on the film and character...

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Blah blah blah not Super Human blah blah blah no super powers blah blah blah just a person blah blah blah tortured soul

Don't these people have other ways of describing Batman than this cliched ****? I'm surprised we didn't get the term "grounded", "gritty" and "realism" thrown in there.

Batman is just like us!! :lol

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Yup, more of the same ****. I swear to God, it's as if they've never opened a Batman book and just go by what they see while they're browsing the net on their macbooks during their day offs...

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

I don't see the problem...
Those are Batman's characteristics.

>Master of 127 Martial Arts
>Second or Third smartest person in the DC Universe
>Snaps his broken bacc into place in 5 minutes and proceeds to beat the **** out of Bane
>Fights nonstop for close to an anetire week in a large pitt
>"""Contigency""" Plans for all JL members
>More money than the Illuminati
>Suffers mental breakdown, uses his back-up persona, I repeat, back-up persona
>Survives without oxygen for 6 minutes
>Creator of Brother Eye
>Steal's Hal's ring without him noticing
>Just the basics
>All canon

But yeah, "ayylmao, Batman's like, a normal person". **** that. Question's a normal guy (more or less). Moon Knight's a normal guy. Constantine is, for the most part, a normal guy. The Green Hornet's a normal guy. Batman is as close to the average joe as any other Big 2 Super-Hero.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Some of that is just retarded :lol

There needs to be a balance between Bathuman and Batgod.

The DCEU Bats seems to be in the middle but closer to the Batgod.

Hopefully, they move away from the parents trauma...it's been done. Give me this guy.

The point is, Batman is a human being and has no superpowers, and became a fighter against crime and injustice because of the trauma of having his parents murdered in front of him.

We know this... we've been beaten over the head with it for decades now. I think Begins did it right, so we don't need to keep going to the well with every ******* actor now. Even the 89' did it well enough. You saw his parents murdered, that's all you needed. He never becomes Batman in it, he always was.

^This. And furthermore, when you give Batman such feats, he stops being a "human being". Bat****s want both their Batwankery and their "muh normal human". And it's ********. Not to mention that his origin ain't that tragic when we're talking capes.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

I think the best thing about Batman is that Bruce Wayne is Batman and he is gritty and realistic. That's why tdkr is so good it threw all those silly comical things out the window!

Realistic! Gritty! Tortured! Bruce Wayne ! Sadness! Whew!

Cape still makes no sense. Especially in gritty real-land.

Agree with everything except the bold.

At least Zack attack isn't doing it. His idea was different than the usual catchphrases but involved prison rape and dispelling the myth that Batman doesn't use guns, which Zack thinks was started by '89(!).

I would love a movie that showed a Batman who has settled into his grief and his persona enough to enjoy crimefighting and life a little. Then have a villain steal his parents corpses again as an audience reminder instead of the ****** pearls again.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

That's true. If we're being fair, Zach Snyder hasn't said anything like that.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

I did an experiment, I asked 5 homeless dudes if they knew what made Batman tick.

None of them knew, none of them can you believe that!

I told them that WB had failed them.
