I wonder if they'll reinvent other iconic Batman villains, like Victor Fries as a disgruntled AC repairman who hated fixing heaters, so he earned the nickname, Mr. Freeze. His weapon of choice, a kitchen knife. :lol

Clayface is actually a disgruntled art teacher who works with clay. Kills with weapons he fashioned from clay. Wears a mask made from clay.

I wonder will he get much attention for it if he does though. The Riddler isn't quite up there with The Joker as far as awareness outside of Batman fandom...or is he?

Welp. So far, I hate it.

Biiiiig surprise, right?

It looks no different from CW super-hero show except with bigger explosions. Costumes are on par.

Now, for the misogynist part. (Sensitive readers skip this part, please.)

Zoe Kravitz is an absolute knockout. Hell, you take 1/2 Lenny Kravitz and 1/2 Lisa Bonet and what do you expect? But the buzz cut/pixie cut looks so, so, so bad. The only part she looked as beautiful as she is in real life is when she was wearing a dumb pink anime wig.

The Riddler stuff COULD be good. It's got the undeniable David Fincher influence (rip-off) and Paul Dano can be a force of nature when he wants to be. I'm still shaken by his performance in "Prisoners." That, at the very least looks interesting but the cynic in me says it'll be dumbed waaaay down for modern audienceS.

Penguin is embarrassing. Colin Ferrel in late stage Val Kilmer make up. Why??

Nothing looks at bad as the Batsuit and the car. Hockey/BMX pads do not make a Batsuit. And the Batmobile is just.....a car. What a monumental letdown.

NOW!!

Having said all that, I'm the one that shat alllll over the Matrix 4 for months, and I haven't stopped gushing about it like a schoolgirl with a crush for a week now, so anything can happen between trailers and movies.

I know I'm the most negative person here, but even I get surprised and blown away every now and then so it's at least possible. With that Batsuit, my hopes are far less optimistic but you never know.

Maybe everyone who's excited, I hope you love this movie as much as TDK and eventually end up with a plethora of dollies. Just cause I know it's not for me doesn't mean that the rest of you aren't gonna end up loving every minute of this. I hope you do!!

Make sure to add he used to work for the Waynes and the last straw was when they cut off his electricity which ended up defrosting the corpse of his wife which he kept in his deep freezer.

It still feels Nolan-esque where it leans more on realism and being grounded rather than embracing the larger than life and supernatural aspects of comic book Batman. As said, that batsuit is ugly.

TDK was too sterile looking for my taste this looks gorgeously gritty almost an extension of Joker.

Snyder was what I call sterile wanna be gritty where this looks legitimately vile!

The Batman and DS2 back to back we don’t deserve such greatness lol

Joker was as sterile as it gets. Just remove any Batman names from it and you wouldn't be able to tell it was based on a comic book. It's a what goes inside the head of Joaquin Phoenix movie.
