I'll watch it on Disney+ one day.

SpiderMan live action has never really been my thing. Prefer adults.
I have a lot of nostalgia for Spidey and love a good live-action film, but between first the Plague, then work obligations and now ... apathy ... LOL ... I'll get to it but I suspect I may be a little MCU'd out as well.

I'm just not that big a fan of live-action Spiderman. The dilemma of trying to balance school, dating and still being your friendly neighborhood SpiderMan isn't dramatic to me. His premise is youthful and childish. I enjoy the movies in the way I might enjoy Ferris Bueller or Rush Hour. But they have little weight to me. No genuine feel of threat. Stacey is quickly replaceable with MJ. The villains turn good half the time. Peter being late for dinner does not put me on the edge of my seat. I prefer Bond, Indy, Batman, McClane, Mad Max, Aragorn, Neo, Jack Sparrow, Iron Man, even Star Lord and young Luke Skywalker.

He does have a great lesson though: with great power comes great responsibility.

The air is thin up here. But the view the clear.
I prefer a much more serious tone compared to the goofball stuff. Unfortunately, Marvel has a formula to fit that into every movie. But DS: MoM is the Marvel movie I have been waiting for.

The air of innocence is nice to visit, and I've always enjoyed the agility and acrobatics. But everything you're saying is true.

Comics Spidey did grow up, but never really found a good middle ground (at least in what I read back when) -- he was either too downtrodden (I mean COME ON) or in later continuities which admittedly I never actually read, they turned him into a Stark/Bond type which didn't quite fit for me.

Somewhere there's a run wherein he was done right, but like most mainstream superhero comics they didn't know when to quit and just diluted or parodied the character through endless reboots and drama.

Uh-oh, I may have summoned DarthKostis ...

I’m just going out on a limb here but my gut is telling me Phoenix Joker is in this and NO I haven’t read any spoilers.

The reason I think that is because we are now in the cinematic age of “surprise!” got you moments so it would just make sense for WB to have their NWH moment now.

It'd be a WOW moment, but honestly I hope not. Battinson would snap him like a twig anyway.

There was at least one characterization of the Joker where he was an insane criminal mastermind, sure, but also hellishly fast and dangerous. I don't see that venomous spider speed from Phoenix's bundle of trauma and psychosis, but who knows ..

The timeline doesn't fit and I very much think Matt Reeves is carving his own universe. I think the next surprise moments from DC will be The Flash with Keaton. Possible with Black Adam, but there is a ton of new characters they should focus on instead.

When it comes to Spider-Man and Batman I’ll always support the two. They are such big parts of my childhood and I love both. Spidey edges out Batman cause he’s just more relatable. I don’t give a crap about comics now but the progression of spidey from boy to man is def intriguing. To bad comics are crap and don’t follow a solid timeline. Of course I love Batman cause he’s a damaged and tortured character.

But Keaton/Affleck are no longer surprises lol

But it’s WB so it all makes perfect sense lol

Says "Sonic".

I can't relate to a teenager who can't get laid and lives with his Aunt.

What's so hard about relating to being "rich and bored"? All you people here must be rich AND bored to be wasting time here AND collecting expensive dolls!
