Interesting. The grotesque, monster Joker is off-putting at first, but his intellect comes through and that's an interesting contrast.

While I'm not sold on it based on a deleted scene, and my first instinct is that it's overdone, I can't help but think ... why not go in this direction? I like the laughter and the almost sexual purring regarding their 'anniversary' -- that's all creepy Joker to me.

I like him. I like the voice... even if its a little Ratso Rizzo. His blurred visage has a very Ledger feel to it. I'm not sure that's good... but if they keep this guy, I'm not against it.
