Mr. Freeze is totally a meta though. Just sayin'. That's reportedly what Matt Reeves is looking at next.

He's on the edge but I wouldn't call him meta since its the result of an accident. He's more like a bubble boy -- body temp is all messed up and has to be regulated. It's not like he can shoot freeze rays from his fingertips -- that's meta.

Aw why not? They can be done good tbh. There is so much potential in each of the monsters rogue gallery.

poison ivy - a crazed eco terrorist who hates men and wants to turn gotham to into a jungle or something. Blows up big corporations and goes after wayne thinking he’s the the biggest contributor.

man bat- the fly body horror type scenario. He loses his humanity and starts to become desperate in finding a cure. Could be like a side villain.

clay face - an actor who can change his face into anyone . Uses clay but is really a monster without the clay. Sabotages Bruce Wayne but he loses his humanity as he doesn’t know himself anymore.

killer croc- sympathetic man who has a bad skin condition and sharp teeth. Lives in the sewer and eats people. Gets outed and Batman must stop him after he kills to many .

they all have great potential. But I understand not wanting to much mcu type fantasy

oh yea and give me a huge bane this time complete with the mask. No small pantie mask bane. Thanks

Sorry but you won't be happy if they bring these creatures down to earth.

I mean, what's the point of Poison Ivy if she doesn't have crazy man-eating plants? She's just a black widow who uses poison.. and surrounds herself with... house plants?

To be honest I thought it was silly to have the man eating plants . I mean it would be cool. But an eco terrorist ivy who uses poison and chemicals who also has green skin can work. Plants don’t have to come alive but there are other ways she can use the plants to her advantage. I was never a huge fan of the mind control of plants thing.

but… that could work to if done right.

Why do you want her to have green skin? So she looks like a plant?

If her skin had a horrible reaction to plant poison and she now sees herself as hideous and obsessed with poisons and wants to wreak havoc, then she's just Dr Poison. Who needs the plants at all? The poison is more interesting anyway. I think the creators just came up with the catchy name and got stuck with the "ivy" angle.

Bane is another troublesome one. Biologically, you can't just "turn on the juice" and become this hulking monster -- that's magic. But he could easily be a freak on steroids and just be this ridiculously massive Chad that... wants to break Batman's back. But just a big steroid Freak... is that really that scary? He just chases you and growls? Or is he also a mastermind? I'm very confused by Bane as a character but I only know him from movie incarnations, which doesn't help me like him.

My favorite Bat-villains (not in order):
Joker
Penguin
Riddler
Catwoman
Mr Freeze
Two-Face
Ra's al Ghul
Scarecrow
Black Mask

I actually like Bane and Killer Croc but I just don't know what to do with them in a Nolan/Reeves reality.

I also like the look of Hush but I know nothing about him. I tried reading his wiki once but got lost because there's like three guys playing him.

In the comics he requires a special suit to keep his body at a subzero cryogenic temperature. His physical condition combined with suit he gives him superhuman strength and durability and he is immune to all toxins, bacteria, and viruses That’s metahuman, lol. But true enough that at least he doesn’t shoot cold rays from his body. He has a cold gun to do that. I don‘t want to keep butting heads over it but I mean, he’s pretty damn fantastical if you ask me.

I guess I’d rather see Court of Owls for Pattinson next. I have a soft spot for Azrael, but I’m sure we’ll never see that.

I think you can have most villans from DC in any grounded Batman film

1. Joker (scars and makeup)
2. Penguin (surgery and deformities?)
3. Riddler (crazy smart crazy)
4. Ivy (poison femme fatal ,(no plant control needed, but she could use certain plants that actually do squirt or launch seeds)
5. ScareCrow (see Nolans, I actually think they could go further with the creep factor ok this)
6. Black Mask (as is)
7. Mr Freeze (nitrogen is already dangerous, and weaponizing it is not a huge leap.)
8. Croc? Super freak huge guy with genetic skin disorder who files his teeth down?)
9. Bane (I am fine with a Venom story, adrenaline mixes with PCP like substance)
10. Harley (crazy psychiatrist, no adaption needed)
11. The Ventriloquist (stupid but possible)
12. Two Face ( easy )
13. Hush (also easy) and I presixt the next story in The Batman part II with Court of Owls
14. Zazss: Serial killer story! Definetly could fit in this universe!!!

Now the tough ones.
1.Man Bat: Straight “jump the shark” territory here, this is a Marvel or Superman villan and has no business being in a Batman story.
2. Clayface: I do like the character, but its too Meta for my Batman sensibilities.
3. Mad Hatter: again, love the character for the comics, but trying to use some kinda mind control chip, just will be too much to fathom, unless hes performing brain surgery on people)

Hush is the only one in your top 14 that hasn't been done yet? Maybe Ventriloquist, but he doesn't scare me.

In The Batman, I read there is reference to Hush's dad being killed -- perhaps motivation for the son to seek revenge as Hush. So maybe he'll show up in the sequel...? Mummy in a trench coat could be scary.

Its a bit too Sin City for me.

I want Zasszz or Sazzzaz or however you spell it, Him and Calander man working together.

Just more serial killers?

I don't know, after Riddler I kind of want to see something a bit more... colorful. Larger than life. Over-played or not, I'm ready for a new Joker again. And I definitely want a good Mr. Freeze to get the Arnold out of my mouth. Almost anything would be an improvement... even just an old scientist with a cold.
