Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

they have Both blogger reviews AND real critics reviews

You mean these "real critics"?

More like "real ********s". Or better yet, "Top Asslowns"!

Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

I admit that I'm not a fan of RT scores either, especially with regard to genre films. There is just too much bias, even among "top" critics. And too many people are afraid to break ranks from the all-mighty groupthink consensus when discussing any given film.

Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

RT is just people trying to come up with clever quotes.

I've never used them to decided to see a movie. If something interests me, I'll watch it regardless of what RT thinks.

Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

Yep and that SNIKT1950 guy is the worst. Always going with the herd. "I love TFA sooooo much. Did you see its RT score? So glad it wasn't formulaic because I hate those kinds of movies."

Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

At least rotten tomatoes is clean as far as you can see who rated. Even the bloggers

IMDB goes by user rating and people abuse that system by creating fake accounts and giving their movies 10 ( or their hated movies 1)

Instead of reading one single review from your local newspaper with rotten tomatoes you can read reviews across the country

Rotten tomatoes even links you directly to the reviews. You can literally just go and read the full reviews from the original newspaper page.

Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

Metacritic is the same as rotten tomatoes. Ratings are even very close

Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

If Disney has RT in their pocket, WB must be making somebody fat at Boxofficemojo. No way should BvS have made that much money.

This.

Its a massive bandwagon. If you wanna see it in its purest form just watch one episode of Collider Movie Talk on YT and see your above post perfectly fleshed out.

What about my assessment of your views on TFA? Would you say that was accurate as well? ;)

It is nice when a movie like TFA or RO gets "RT kudos" but I know it's more of the "broken clock is right twice a day" syndrome than critics suddenly having an epiphany of good taste.

Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

Speaking of Rotten Tomatoes it looks like The Dark Knight has finally been dethroned as greatest Batman movie of all time. Lego Batman is currently sitting at 98%. :lol

Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

Amusing. Everyone is an expert and bearer of "the truth" these days and when someone or a group of someones disagrees they are dismissed as fake or biased or corrupt or too foolish to know better.
