Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

Amusing. Everyone is an expert and bearer of "the truth" these days and when someone or a group of someones disagrees they are dismissed as fake or biased or corrupt or too foolish to know better.

Yourself included apparently. ;)

I still don't understand how a percentage on the internet can tell you whether you like a film or not without seeing it.... isn't that up to each individual?

Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

Speaking of Rotten Tomatoes it looks like The Dark Knight has finally been dethroned as greatest Batman movie of all time. Lego Batman is currently sitting at 98%. :lol

well everyone uses reviews for everything.

even this Forum is a form of review system for figures and statues. we are LITERALLY a form of "rotten Tomatoes" for sideshow products.
every single section works as a review board and some of you guys go into a lot of detail to either praise or trash a figure or statue.

We also have our fair share of defenders or bad products or people that do nothing but bash anything that is not DC or marvel. so in a way that favoritism you see on Rotten tomatoes is also present in here.

(sometimes here is worst because people having an unpopular opinion will be shunned lol) Rotten Tomatoes might be bought by disney sometimes but that happens everywhere with other companies.
Even yelp has been deleting negative reviews sometimes or restaurants have sued people for reviewing. favoritism is not isolated to rotten tomatoes.

Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

Well, opinions are entirely subjective, so I never "judge" a flick before seeing it, but reviews are there for a reason. Or is anybody willing to debate that Gigli is actually an underappreciated gem? So, folks should just stop with the "reviews accurately reflect a flick's value" and "reviews are set-up #fact #wakeupsheeplee #enlightened" attitudes. Have your opinion and don't try to rub it in another's face. Simple as that...

That said, I'm gonna take Jim Hopper's example and punch everyone who dissagrees with me in the face!

Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

It's the same as it ever was.

"I say this." "Okay, but Bob says that." "Well Bob's a ****ing idiot."

Generally I think RT is a good reflection of opinions in general. I'm not offended when they say the crappy movies I love are crappy.

Are you calling me an expert and truth bearer? Thanks, I'm flattered, and while I am quite proficient in some areas I do not have the answers about a great many things.

On the subject of film, there have been several I did not understand at first and rather than blame the film, the film makers or critics for my lack of understanding I recognized that maybe I was lacking. I watched them again until I did get it, or understood what others had been talking about. I hardly ever hear anyone take responsibility themselves but instead point fingers at others. :duff

Jim Hopper and the Stranger Things cast gonna be takin' to the streets punchin Naz-ees an' sheit. Cuz they're badazzez mein mahn!

It's really interesting to see the contrast between the various actors. Denzel gave a very respectful speech during the globes, whereas clowns like that guy over there, Kutcher and the like just used it as an excuse to show how political they are. The difference between professionals and pedestrians I guess...

PS: The funniest part about that video is the guy at the end, who looks at all the Hollyweird folks going ape****, and he just goes "what the **** is going on here?".

THE BATMAN: Warner Bros. Reportedly Seeking New Script & Creative Team

The Johns/Affleck script had already gotten a once-over by Terrio.
An entirely new creative team is apparently being brought in
Affleck's role will be solely as an actor.
The script had Deathstroke and probably the Joker in it.

Huh? I thought Affleck got his buddy to write the best Batman script of all time, none of this makes any sense.
