The DC Dudebros are worse than the Marvel Fanwankers at this point... Not that it matters to me. I'll keep on enjoying any good CBM that comes out regardless of the compnay like, y'know, any rational person.

Re: Matt Reeves Batman film

Good for Affleck if true. The DCU is **** ATM and he's been doing great as a director and (to a lesser degree) as an actor. He doesn't need this ****, it will only drag him down again.

Re: Matt Reeves Batman film

Nope they are going in the drink after he does:lecture

I hope you got the rebreather version!
I feel the way I felt 1 hundred years ago when Clooney got cast in that musical Batmovie. Such a waste. I really was excited at the prospect of Affleck directing a solo movie and if all this turned around I'd love it to happen. But this whole saga is pretty funny.

Re: Matt Reeves Batman film

The real tragedy here is that even if Reeves delivers an excellent Batman film and Affleck's performance is riveting, the MCU worshippers (90% of Certified Critics on RT) will still deem it "too dark and depressing" and not "fun and colorful like the Marvel Studios" pictures.

Warner Bros. is fighting a seemingly unwinnable battle with today's culture of rabid bandwagoning.

I remember when reviews of MOS came out I read a few after seeing the film and I was absolutely mind****** by the nonsense these people concocted to bash the awesome film I'd just seen ("Superman is irresponsible!!!!!!!", "This movie is too serious and emo!!!!!!", etc). I think at that point I realized that anything serious going forward in this genre would be met with absurd bashing by a community that loves safe garbage like CW & Ant-Man but rips apart something tonally different and grounded like BvS. ****, the fact that BvS has been deemed a terrible movie by this blogger culture still astounds me. Had BvS come out before Iron Man (2008) with Bale instead of Affleck it would have been worshipped.

WW, JLA, Aquaman....in the eyes of the MCU lover - they're already bad movies.

I find shelter in the FOX movies, where the studio doesn't give two ***** about Disney's craptastic approach to filmmaking and just does their own more intelligent and inspired takes on the Marvel characters they own.

Yeah WW already deemed a disaster and JL unsavable. Anything Reeves comes up with will be garbage and on and on and on....

How do you explain the Nolan trilogy getting great reviews, considering TDKR which has an 88% in RT, was released in 2012, a year before MOS? The same can be said about X Men DOFP, which came out in 2014 and it has a 91%? Dark and serious has nothing to do with BVS getting bad reviews.

Re: Matt Reeves Batman film

The assumption of Marvel fanboyism amuses me. It doesn't seem to occur to the accusers that maybe we were fine with Ant-man and Doctor Strange because ultimately we don't really care about those characters - they're complete newbs on the movie scene not to mention, to many of us, totally unknown characters full stop. Superman and Batman on the other hand...not so unknown, much more beloved and many of us feel they are being horribly mishandled in the current cinematic universe.....sorry? :dunno
