Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

Give Nick Cage a crack at it. (since he lost his chance to be Superman).

Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

His exerience in JL must've been horrendous.

This is what it must've been like to watch the Titanic sink.

Next up, Patty Jenkins removes herself from WW. :lol

Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

Keaton walked away from millions.

Kilmer got fat.

Clooney went Looney

Bale got his hat trick but the less said about the 3rd the better.

Affleck needs to walk away he's a train wreck, but at least he tied with 89 for best looking Batman.

Wonder if Marvel will take him back.

There's always Gigli 2. :lol

But I know why he's high on himself, I would be:

Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

I wonder if him wanting out has anything to do with having no belief in Justice League either. Would he really drop out of the role if that movie turns out great?

Batperson: Answer the Signal

Two hours of Melissa McCarthy flying around the batcave in black spandex testing out faulty gadgets designed by Kristen Wiig (Alfred.)

Interesting that Affleck will tie Bale for the record number of times playing Batman but without a single solo film.

Re: Ben Affleck Batman film

Wonder no more. Yes.

But then... before he was Batman, did you really care about his opinion?

I still don't care about his opinion, but I can't help how entertaining this is, and the backlash that would come with him leaving the role. That'll make for some fun discussions on here :lol

Re: Matt Reeves Batman film

Maybe the effort of staying in shape for so long was too big a task for him. He seems like the kind of guy that likes to do what he wants and when your Batman you need limits.

Yup, and we still have WW and JL train wrecks :yess:

This must be what is like to be Joker and wanting to watch the world burn. :lol

I'm leaning more towards burnout, frustration and fatigue.

Affleck has also been keeping himself constantly busy ever since his divorce with Jennifer Garner, so it's likely that all the acting and film-making is just making him exhausted...as well as some of his other rumored "vices" (gambling, banging his former babysitter, etc.). Couple that with WB's insanity over never being able to get the DC Cinematic movies on the right track and you can possibly see why Affleck, who has been trying to "help", even wants to step away.

Re: Matt Reeves Batman film

Burnout could make sense at his age, but if he really drops out I find it almost impossible to believe the BvS reception coupled with Live by Night bombing at the box office won't have something to do with it. And if Justice League is a dumpster fire on top of it then I'd say its even more likely he'll drop out. I hope all of this is b.s. though, and everything goes smoothly from this point forward.
