Reposting my first Post about THIS Project for those who just tuned in.

Hey Guys,
Enough with the fits and starts. If enough Guys show real interest we can get a set of 4 Heads Sculpts to make a set of the Beatles. I don't want to reveal who the Sculptor I contacted is but you all know his work well here on the boards. Hint... who ya gonna call?

Now, I know many of you have different preferences for various eras so to start things off, this Project will intially be dedicated to the Fab Four, that is Beatles '64-66.

Once we get that going, and it CAN get going fairly soon... we can move on to Different Eras.

Again, this is just for the heads right now, but hopefully we can get someone to make the suits. There are also 1/6 Guitars out there and I know some freaks like Pix already sourced boots and other articles in the past. This is not that tough Guys, and a Beatles Set has NEVER been done that I know of.

Seriously, if there's enough interest... BANG, Mop Tops will roll... finally.

So, let this thread serve as General Interest and reference material of the Sullivan Era Beatles 64-66 to get things rolling and then we can get to era Variants...

as soon as I’m caught up with me Ghost buster orders I’ll get on to these heads. Maybe 2 -3 weeks.

So far, we have about 21 members who expressed interest in Fab Four heads. I will tally a Members list in the coming weeks and once Spenser gets started, I will turn over the project to him for ordering, payments, etc.

This is a big tent project Guys, meaning all Beatlephiles for other eras are welcome to chime in and if Spenser chooses to do other eras, it will be his call, there is certainly enough interest! But this thread is for Fab Four Heads.

When I tried to get my project off the ground with Darren the instruments proved to be the most difficult element to locate. Most scaled replica's of the instruments are in 1:4 scale rather that 1:6 scale.

I think I found some on ebay, along with 1/6 scale Speakers...

Pix, do you remember where you resourced Beatle boots?

Also, now looking for 1/6 suits with narrow lapels. I'll keep you guys posted on stuff I find. I may go with HT bodies (maybe narrow shoulders or slim for George and Paul) Reg TT for John and a Dragon short for Ringo.

The boots were from monkey depot... I am really wishing I bought 3 more pairs as I just took a look and they don't appear to be available anymore.

I actually own a pair of authentic Beatle Boots made by the same UK company that Beatles wore.. but mine have square toes. I think the Beatles wore pointy toes. So, maybe not so bad after all.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:

Spenser will start with the Fab Four Set then Modify for Later Era Set. So, let's stay tuned to this thread for Project updates and chatter about the Fab Four Project.

I will make a list of everyone who expressed interest in the order they were posted in the coming weeks, sometime before Thanksgiving.

This Project thread is for Fab Four Early set. This is why I have reposted my first post at the top of this page. Everyone who expressed interest would be on the Fab Four 64-66 heads wish list.

Once spenser completes his Sculpts he will take over the Ordering, shipping etc based on those who PM him to confirm their order.

I imagine when he completes the 69 Set the same will follow.

What about George's Guitar?

He had a black Gibson, right? He also used a V neck... anyway, need to find a decent one for him.

for the most part in the early days he played a Gretsch Country Gentleman or a black Ric. the sullivan performances and early concerts were all on the Gentleman.

this is pretty darn close:

The color is way off, they never made a sunburst, only deep translucent brown, so it might need to be re-painted. It also has faux painted f-holes, but you could probably either fill those in or just leave them the way they are, it's not a huge deal IMO

Holy crap you're right. He played a Gretsch. All these years I thought it was a gibson.

especially the one B.B. King plays.
