Dracula

Walt Disney Home Entertainment has announced the 20th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray release of producer Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, which will be available in two versions: a 3-disc 3D/BD/DVD/Digital Copy combo pack and a 2-disc BD/DVD combo pack. Burton and director Henry Selick's classic stop motion phenomenon streets on September 10th.

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has announced the Blu-ray release of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns - Deluxe Edition, which collects Parts 1 & 2 of the well-received animated adaptation of Frank Miller's landmark limited comic book series of the same name. The Deluxe Edition set arrives on Blu-ray/DVD/UltraViolet combo pack on October 8th.

Part 1 Synopsis: As Gotham destroys itself, an aging Bruce Wayne (Peter Weller) watches from the seclusion of his Wayne Manor, disgusted at both the new criminal element as well as his physical and mental frailties that forced him to retire ten years earlier. When Wayne's old adversary Harvey "Two-Face" Dent (Wade Williams) violently re-asserts his twisted influence, Wayne takes up the Batman mantle once more. But even improved crime-fighting technology and a new sidekick (Ariel Winter) might prove inadequate for Wayne to confront the perils of this new dystopian Gotham City.

Part 2 Synopsis: The Dark Knight (Weller), along with Robin (Winter), have finally reclaimed Gotham City and allowed a ray of hope to penetrate the reign of terror that The Mutants had cast upon his city. But with Batman back in the spotlight, the extended media coverage has awoken a far worse evil at Arkham Asylum: The Joker (Michael Emerson). Forever destined to be mortal enemies, The Joker has a diabolical scheme that may pull Batman down to the darkest levels of insanity. Meanwhile, on the horizon, a global catastrophe races towards Gotham and with it a familiar face: The Man of Steel (Mark Valley), though this time he has Batman in his sights. Witness as the aging Dark Knight wages a tireless war against crime while proving that courage and will are indeed timeless.

Complete tech specs and extras have yet to be revealed, but the Deluxe Edition release is set to include:

New 70-minute Frank Miller Documentary (Deluxe Edition Exclusive)
New Cast and Crew Commentary (DE Exclusive)
4 Collector Cards (BD DE Exclusive)
All Previous Part 1 and Part 2 Special Features

I'm glad I held off on buying them individually considering the new extras. I'm sure it'll piss off a few people who already bought them. Way to go, WB!

Same here. However, part of me is wondering if it won't be a different experience entirely. I was reading the Blu-Ray.com forums, and, apparently, the runtime is 156 minutes. Both the films are 76 minutes, so, with the credits, they are 152 minutes. That means that this version has 4 extra minutes somewhere. Now, assuming they did combine both parts into one full-length film, there would most likely be a new set of credits that combines both into one, which makes me think that there could be even more than 4 minutes of extra stuff. It'd certainly be awesome if that were the case, but I'm just speculating.

It's coming. Most likely around November, cash in on Christmas.

Here's what the Indian version looks like. Might get something similar:

Been looking forward to this since it was first announced. Hopefully, it will have some nice extras. I avoided getting the first version of the trilogy when they announced that this set would follow.

Kewl, now, if they'll release the specs, I'll be happy as a clam, providing they aren't as disappointing as the TDK UCE.
