I was hesitant to join another collectors board, but I joined blu-ray.com specifically to get the inside info on steel books.

I usually get the early info on Zavvi releases, and they'll usually post when ordering goes live.

I got a pre-order in for the Spider-Man: Homecoming steel book just in case the domestic version doesn't come with 3D. Wasn't too interested in Despicable Me 3, though.

Be careful though, thus far, I've been able to resist and limit myself to Zavvi steels. But some of those foreign steel books from Blu-Fans and Manta Labs look fantastic.

EDIT: Also, the Spider Man: Homecoming steel overseas is NOT exclusive to Zavvi; you can order from other retailers, like Amazon UK.

What's ticking me off at Best Buy is that you almost have to preorder way ahead of time now so I've been trying to do that, but....my BB credit card expires in a couple of months so I can't preorder anything that is released in that month or after even though they don't charge till release.

Well I didn't realize how far in advance one can order DVD nows with the steel book. Explains why i never find any. I just ordered Spider-Man on Best Buy.

So is it standard now that 4K is getting bundled with Blu-Ray? Seeing this with Wonder Woman, Spider-Man and I can't recall, but I'm assuming GotG Vol2.

I caved and got the set last week when there was also a $5 gift card promo. Sucky thing is that the discs are stacked. Gonna order some new spines with the titles on them.

EDIT: There was originally a 4K steelbook collection solicited for fall as well, but Best Buy has pulled the link. Not sure if this means it's been cancelled, or if Best Buy will re-solicit the 4K version when it gets closer to release. Just an FYI in case you want to hold out for 4K.
