The potential for pure lunacy is almost a guarantee now.
matticus is right on about the bounty hunter wookie. Much like Boba Fett, there is very little to suggest that he warrants being respected or feared. He's fairly strong, but not strong enough to crush a human when he's hugging him for about a minute and a half? He's also a tactical idiot, tackling those guys down the staircase.

And I'm sure that Boba's kindness (?) in letting him go will pay off by the wookie returning in the last episode to help Boba out. Showing in yet another way why he shouldn't be respected as an amoral bad-ass.

Oddly, the only characters in either of these shows that comes to mind as a bad-ass bounty hunter in the way they were portrayed in the original films is kid who betrayed Mando and the IG-88 dude. . .before he got his brain re-programmed.

Favreau has now reverted back to his clown attire from the Seinfeld episode:

That's Favreau on the set of Boba Fett as the leader of a clown gang. :lol

Wow IG Assassin Droid being reprogrammed as a nurse. The foreshadowing for what Disney+ SW would soon become was there all along...

"Uneven and hokey" Perfect way to put it. I'd also add "cheap". Even with presented with the same resources as other directors, he manages to make shots looked rushed and not thought through. The actors performances feel like first takes and his editing choices are awkward. The two episodes he's directed for BOBF are showing two things...last week's director was actually quite good and that episode he directed for Mando may have been a fluke.
I feel pretty confident in saying when they brought Rodriguez in to direct that one episode of Mandalorian Season II, most everything had already been put in place for him. He's not good and his spy kids vespa gang may have single-handedly moved this show from mixed to just bad.

Posted this earlier but a bunch of posts were moved around to the proper places (quite rightly) so it may have been lost along the way.
Temeura confirms in the interview below, that Slave 1 is called Firespray in BoBF.

The other day I was telling ajp about how I hold live-action to a higher standard of "canon" but then this one single episode reminded me of how SW has co-existed with the Life Day portions of the Holiday Special and those original two Ewok movies. This hilariously joins that list and I'm just buckled up for wherever this ride goes. :yess:

I'm picturing TM reading all the fan reactions to both the show and his character and going, "how could this happen, how???" And then a curtain pulls back and Favreau and Rodriguez turn around in swivel chairs chuckling maniacally, revealing that this humiliating show was their long game revenge for him taking the role in AOTC and doing such poor line readings for ESB:SE. "We are the source of all your pain..."

Those Ewok movies killed Star Wars in the 80's.

For those who actually saw it when it aired, definitely.

I am one of those victims. PTSD.

It's like there was a great disturbance in the Force, and the timelines SPLIT at that moment... one timeline gave us ESB... and eventually Rogue One and The Mandalorian. The other timeline, a darker timeline, gave us the Ewok movies, the PT... and eventually Book of Boba Fett.

That is my canon.

PT
TCW
OT:SE
Holiday Special
Ewok Movies
Droid Cartoon
BOBF

Aside from the Ewok movies Boba Fett is in every one of those, lol. "The Boba Fett Saga"

Timeline 2 is a strange new universe.

And its true -- Boba Fett seems to dominate in that universe.

I'm curious, what is your Timeline 1 universe, Khev? I think you're going to try and sneak the ST in there... I'd argue that the ST is the start of a 3rd timeline. The Disney timeline.
