Some of the excuses and explanations from fans on social media is making me bleed from my ears.

"Boba is being respectful now because his experience in the Sarlaac has changed him. He isn't a ruthless and violent bounty hunter anymore. You just don't like character development. You should stick with the MCU. I hear Captain Marvel is good at everything and never changes"

I just don't get this perspective. He didn't want to be a mean bounty hunter anymore so he became a crime boss?! What?
So he's being a respectful crime boss who seems to avoid violence whenever possible. That whole part of his character just doesn't make sense.

The assumption from many seems to be that he'll learn to be a crime boss, one must be ruthless and in later episodes he'll suddenly start blasting everyone.
I think, that the show is more likely to be, that Boba is proved right. He'll be the crime boss everyone respects. We've had a hint of that already when sparing the Gammies paid off and the mobility scooter gang saved him from BBW.

For me, the idea of Boba wanting to change his ways to become respectful just makes no sense when that change includes going from bounty hunter to crime boss.

The MCU stuff just came out of nowhere. I've barely watched any of it.

They're also forgetting that his appearance in The Mandalorian was after his Sarlacc experience.

What changed wasn't Boba, but rather the writers and the direction they wanted to take him. Hence TBOBF is at present non-canon to me.

Fennec - "I'm going to take a shower and go to sleep naked. My door is open in case you need anything, and I do mean ANYTHING." :sneaky:

Boba - "Thanks, mate." ☺️

Fennec - "Well, ok...here I go...now...just remember, I'm here to serve you in any way I can. It's the least I can do after all." 😯

Boba - 🤨 "Ooooh, I get it. You want to hear about my latest dream. What would I do without you, Fennec?"🤗

Fennec 🙄

I get if they don't want to do a full romance subplot, but to have them in a strictly business relationship with not a single hint from neither of them at a possible relationship is just weird, and like you said, unrealistic. Would it kill them to flirt a little bit? Boba Fett showed more interest in the Rancor. The same goes for Fennec, she's all business, so far.

He just lost his balls and his brains. That's why he just stands around, while Fennec and the Vespa kids get **** done.
Not gonna lie Clown, your Fennic **** "moved" me a bit... :rotfl

Oh boy. Quite a few people have very detailed Bonnec scenarios in their heads, trust. Quiiiiitttteeeeeee a few.

Fett should be exuding sexy menace in much the same way Mando did - yes! At 60+ he can definitely carry out that request. And yet, no! This show has neutered him. i wanted Fett to finally Get Some and nope.

God the people producing this show suck.

Evidently since this is the first that I've seen or heard of anyone escaping the Sarlacc (btw, I haven't did any book/comic reading), I guess it's safe to speculate what was digested first. When escaping a Sarlacc, sacrifices must be made. No amount of bacta tank regenerating those. haha.

As I've tried to explain to Jye before, we only needed one show about a kickass helmeted Mandalorian - and they wasted it on Din Djarin.
Disagree. I was srsly Skywalkered out after the ST. Felt like the whole world of SW sort of could never evolve. IMO the ST started with a lot of promise - not doing more with Finn, among other things, will always be inexcusable:cuss. There was so much room to work with a character who, far as I know, was the first Stormtrooper to question all of it. Enough's been said about the ST, but *&&^%, so much was thrown away as it slid into nostalgia overrdrive:banghead.

So Mando for me was a breath of fresh air. Raised by a cult more or less; but there's all these fascinating shades of gray. He's not a jerk. Ruthless, but can still say thank you.

Ultimately the contrast between Din D'jarin and Boba Fett should have been fascinating too - or at least how I envisioned Boba Fett to be. In a way, it's almost like Bill Burr's Mayfield did a bit - with what I thought Boba Fett would have been like - you do what you gotta.

Boba Fett being far more practical and ruthless than Din D'jarin. Why not? Din D'jarin, however harsh his upbringing was, ended up with a code, and a clan. Boba didn't even have that structure.

There should be an interesting interaction with the Marshall, who is definitely a good man. Now I wonder that that will be *&^% too😨. Coz there won't be any contrast of personalities and a *&^% script. Suspect Marshall interacting with Fennec (ur piston intestines sure are pretty, ma'am, would u care for a jar of Bantha fat to keep them greased? :monkey3 ) will be a lot more cool at this point, than Boba looking blankly at the Marshall, and then struggling with the faux Shakespeare type lines (except Shakespeare didn't write boring lines like "then we will be ready" no shiite:pfft:)

Guess Fennec can walk Marshall over to the aquarium, where he raps on the glass. No response. Looks at Fennec and sez WTF at the twitching, Calvin Klein brief'd Boba. Fennec rolls her eyes and hands Marshall the armor...the end credit scene is a bathrobed Boba cooing at his baby Rancour. Baby Rancour rolls over to get a belly rub and Boba shouts for the green pigs to rescue him...:monkey3

I just think Favreau is overstretched. Too many shows, too many demands.

PS.

Y'all are forgetting Rasta Tusken. She'll probably show up, break off the lid of the aquarium grunting the trope line of "if it weren't for u my people would still be alive but I have the hots for u let's lose the tighty whities and let me show u another kind of Tusken dance *wink wink*, coz underneath these rags I'm a hawt blue chick who can make the Kama Sutra look like mild exercise for my nana")

While he may be spread thin, there's a difference between, say .. mediocre effort and zero effort resulting in an off-brand train wreck.

That's why I'm so mystified by this ... thing.

Actually yeah. After all of the paragraphs I've written on this show, I think 'off-brand' sums it up best for me. It just ain't right.

Well, I was blindsided by the *&^% that was the MCU's FWS; watching my fav MCU character get nerfed and another fav of mine depicted as a pompous, humorless @ss. 😢

And felt dubious after S2 Mandalorian mid season. At this point, I kinda feel like it's one of those "the beatings will continue until morale improves" things. Like any drug, even these shows have these moments when you see what could be.

It's like eating at a cheap all-you-can-eat buffet where for some reason the crab cakes and corn bread are the best you ever had. You keep coming back hoping someone will restock the buffet, but mostly you're stuck with the dried out bony chicken wings and stale cake.🍰

So say we all.

I saw it getting Filoni'd etc. but to my mind it was always uneven, that said an entertaining show overall.

LOL that's why I'm tapping out until nerds I trust recommend something. And may the gods have mercy on their souls for the sacrifices they make while doing recon.

From what RR has said and the first three episodes have indicated this series aspires to be an uplifting response to dreary real world affairs and will show a man denied a proper family his whole life finally getting one and fighting for one. Does it sync with what came before? Not at all but that's the story they seem compelled to tell. And in and of itself that can be a very entertaining and satisfying journey to watch but it'll be so crazy if at the end of the day all the happy characters at the end of ROTJ will meet tragic ends while the guy we watched get plunged into a thousand years of pain and suffering will actually be the one to live happily ever after, lol.

That or his family, Fennec and Rancor, die and he goes back to being a villain.

Not going to happen though :gah:

Yeah I don't see them repeating the fate of the Sandpeople twice on the same show. With the Tuskens he bonded with a woman, child, and creatures and now he has all of the above in Mos Espa and I think we'll see him doing whatever it takes to not lose that again.
