Who flys a ship sideways and backwards? I mean GTFO with that lazy, ******* writing. There is a thing called gravity on a planet, maybe you've heard of it. Those thrusters on the front must've been invisible. Favreau couldn't have written something so stupid. :slap:slap:slap:slap:slap:slap:slap

This is canon too in that a seismic charge destroys a whole asteroid field, yet you can drop it in a sarlacc RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU and sustain zero damage to the ship. :slap:slap:slap:slap:slap:slap:slap

Boba couldn't find his actual armour, but who needs it when you have plot armour instead. :lol

(I think in Star Wars ships use repulsor technology to manoeuvre within the atmosphere of planet).

Fennec basically did absolutely everything for ***** Fett once again. The most "impressive" thing he did was scare a robotic rabbit into committing suicide.
It didn't commit suicide it just turned itself off. It was alive and well later on during the big dinner scene with the other crime lords.

(I think in Star Wars ships use repulsor technology to manoeuvre within the atmosphere of planet).
No, don't justify that retardation. Thrusters for the ship are only on the back and not the front of the ship. They would have to be visible and large enough to hold the craft over land, much less have a ship engineered to have thrusters on the front and back of a ship. :lol

Okay this episode definitely had some of the usual issues but overall I liked it and I freaking *loved* the scene where he overtakes the swoop gang in Slave I.

Reminded me of this:

:yess:
Yes, that was good, topped only (for me) by Jennifer Beals’ cleavage. :lol

I also enjoyed seeing Fennec be the ruthlessly efficient killing machine…..while Boba Fett (a) did his bumbling droid chasing and (b) old man (not) in a hat driving impression while trying to start up his Firespray. I did feel somewhat conflicted when it was revealed that Fennec was the one who told him to find a bacta tank. Girl, you were doing SO well up to that point!

Hrm, ok , what I ment by SW hate is that its been quite obvious to me after the ST that SW shows create a visceral reaction in fans. Its very much all or nothing with fans. The ST had some redeeming elements surely? Parts of it that were good? Same with this show? But no, some fans really will not see that, because they are black and white when it comes to viewing this property.

Once they determine its on the “bad” list, no matter what the film/show does, it becomes a fodder for picking apart every detail….even things we have seen before in more “loved” SW films. Or things that shouldn't be deal breakers. I didnt care for the whole vespa chase scene myself, but I did enjoy the Hutt scenes quite a bit. So, overall it was a wash for me that episode.

As far as BF goes, I could care less what any publication says about his character. To ME he has always been a minor character, that was WAY over blown in his fandom, mostly due to fans simply liking his look. The Ewoks and Jawas have about the same screen time, and in the case of the Ewoks, they actually have more importance to the plot, but I hate them as well. So my dislike , is also viseral for thise charaters but I am willing to accept some thing wont land with my tastes , and not completely hate ROTJ or any other SW things due to some bad ideas or choices that do not appeal to me.

When I said nobody cares what I think, I was not trying to sound like a martyr cause on the other side of the coin, I dont care what anyone else thinks either. I watch and like what I want too. Youtube videos with a billion “likes” that trash seemly everything wouldnt change my mind on what I find entertaining. Although sometimes I wonder about people whom may seem to form opinions based on the top youtube videos about any given product. We often see it here, and I am not sure how that affects opinions on anything, or just reinforces that visceral reaction? I am glad so far most of the current members do not feel obligated to post Youtube videos supporting their opinions like that somehow makes them more valid. Nothing anyone says really would sway anyones overall opinion of anything SW anyway.

When it comes to visceral SW hate, SW fans are the best at it. Even now I can remeber Rouge One getting quite a bit of that hate, but time seems to have mellowed that out.

I think the same think is happening to Solo, which was almost universally hated, especially on this forum, but now seems to command more respect among many viewers in general. Solo is probably the best representation of that visceral reaction being tamed over time.

So far, overall, I am enjoying the show, proably a 6.5 out of ten. The second episode was the best, followed by the firat and finally the 3rd. Not much to rewatch so far…..hence the rating.

I can hope this thread does not turn into a crap feast of constant badgering of this show like the ST thread did….it really ruined it for people who wanted to talk about the show and not just try to outdo the next guy in trashing it.

I do not mind the critics really, but the constant harping and contiunal pounding away at the same perceived flaws really gets tiring wading through. And thats a shame for thise whom may wanna discuss….you know….the plot and character development?

Just curious, because I asked this of the people on the ST as well, and got some really good answers….

What would you want to see of BF? I saw a few examples of what people want to see, and then some really stupid ones….

Banging Fennic? If people saying that are serious, then the SW they want is nothing like the one I want. SW has always been a family adventure show, no need to thrn it into GOT or The Sopranos. I would rather see the property die in the likes of Lucas PT than see it go that direction.

All great points that I agree with.

I'm afraid this thread is already a crap fest. Fat shaming (from keyboard warriors in worse shape then Morrison), *** jokes, ad hominem attacks if you disagree with their negative view or dare offer counter points they can't dismiss. It's like a middle school in here. There's still a few nuggets like your posts, and a couple other that keep me coming back, but wading through all the other crap if getting tiresome.

This was the best episode so far, in that there were more positives, and the negatives were short lived.

I liked the final scene with Boba and Fennec on the balcony, with the suns almost gone down, and the headlamps of the departing speeders far below. It was quite evocative.

Also, at the end as the music rises, Mando's flute merges with a didgeridoo. It's funny that the Kiwi has an Aboriginal leitmotif.

Did you miss the scene where Boba took Fennec to the tattoo parlor for medical care?

BTW, how do they replace pretty much her entire abdomen and there's not one drop of blood evident anywhere during the operation? I'll buy that the blaster fire instantly cauterized the wound when she was hit, but after that there's only so much hand waving I can do before muscle fatigue sets in lol...

Thought I recognised the casino dealer droid (complete with green dealer's visor :slap ):

Confirmed. Disney will build a Boba Fett casino/spa resort somewhere in the deserts of California.

Tired of your stressful work and want to live the daimyo life like Boba? Why not relax and enjoy the bacta spa in your underwear? The experience includes a massage from one of our Black Krrsantan staff which may or may not include a tugging off of your "limbs." Just don't let the kids walk in on you. To avoid that, we offer entertainment for the kids such as slow, child safe mos Vespa rides, dig your own water adventure in the deserts of Califo - Mos Espa, raid the cargo trains with local hobos Tuskens, and many more.

That was one of the strangest scenes. There's a lot of convenience in this series, a lot of simple solutions to more complex problems.

Such as scaring the captains into submission and dissuading them from killing Boba, just because he has a rancor locked up below the room.

As in earlier episodes there were plenty of chances to kill Boba while taking very little risk, before he had loyal guards to avenge any such move.

..

Although in this U it's Wookiees who are "known to pull people's arms from their sockets.” :wink1:

Still liking the series, but I thought this was the weakest entry to date. Did they really need that much time to tell a story we pretty much already knew? Not to mention there's no suspense when you already know the outcome. That said, I did like that Boba immediately took out the speeder bike gang, went back to the Sarlacc Pit (although I thought in part it would be for revenge), and recruited Black Krrsantan. There were a number of other nice moments, callbacks and easter eggs. One thing that did puzzle me was didn't Boba have clinking spurs or something when he originally found Fennec in the Mandalorian? If so, I'm surprised they didn't match the sound design. Maybe I'm remembering the scene wrong.

The second half was one of those "setting the table" episodes, which was fine. I'm sure they're saving most of fireworks for the final two episodes, so next week's entry might be either short on time or major plot developments.

Banthas—the slowest moving, most uncomfortable mode of transportation in the desert. (I'd still like a 1/6 figure though)

It's Disney Star Wars and it's painfully stupid. I can tell you firsthand that is not what it's like when you open up someone's stomach for surgery. Sadly this still ranks low on my list of complaints about the show.

Oh dear lord where to begin.

This show needs to be called:

The Book of Boba ZzzZzz

What a snooze fest!

The Bantha walking on the sand is a perfect visual representation of this show super slow talky and dragging.

Holy crap is he an *****!

OF COURSE female Fennec saved the day if not for her his precious Slave 1 along with him would’ve been eaten by the Sarlaac!

Yes you read that correctly the ***** almost got himself eaten by the same freaking creature AGAIN but this time him AND his ship!!!

Fennec stopped that from happening!

Let me repeat that again, Fennec stopped that from happening!

:slap

Then he says to her “Don’t touch my buttons again.”

Or what Boba Fett OR WHAT!

What are you going to do about it!

He is just going to place himself in a position of WEAKNESS again so that she can save him AGAIN!

The problem with this show is that they keep retreading the same steps.

A entire scene of drunk depressed angry black chewie feeling sorry for himself just to build up towards him being recruited by Fett when that could’ve been done last episode.

Now he says he is STRONGER post Sarlaac not weaker.

So him being stronger is ambushing a biker gang facing the other way and shooting them in their backs some strength lol

It looked cool but c’mon….

Mando takes on his foes HEAD ON!

Don’t even get me started on that surgery at least with Luke’s hand we saw only the final touches.

But Fennec’s stomach….OMG! :slap

Wait did I just watch the mighty Boba Fett bully a tiny little robot! :slap

Boba Snooze!

No he's right, SW ships have always been able to maneuver in atmosphere without visible thrusters.
