Such a missed opportunity to do something epic. The sarlaac escape should have been a high budget dramatic event like the Krayt Dragon episode from Mandalorian season two episode one. Instead we got Morrison as a gopher digging a hole to China. If going this boring route he could have at least cut through the Sarlacc side wall with the tools he carries in his pants rather than literally punching through flesh.
Maybe the Sarlacc escape would have played better with the song from caddyshack.

The escape should’ve been the entire freaking episode is that too much to ask for!
Could have been tense, horrifying, groundbreaking even. You know who would have done a great job with that? Whoever did the cinematography and direction on Breaking Bad. Actually that's who we need for this whole series. They knew how to tell incredible stories with very little dialogue when necessary.

Can someone remind me of when he got his *** kicked by Tusken Koska i’m so depressed it’s a fog of disappointment that I will never revisit.

I have watched Mando S1/S2 multiple multiple times now!

I can’t believe those words just came out of my mouth…I will not rewatch a show about Boba Fett!

I’ve watched the PT and ST hundreds of times!

I’ve even sat thru the Holiday special 4 x since release :slap
Yup I've rewatched every Mando episode at least once, but can't think of even one moment or action sequence that's worth revisiting in this one.

The battle with the Harryhausen creature was fine I suppose, but undercut by the fact it didn't feel remotely like something from Star Wars (let alone Tatooine).

If Khev can love the ST and Matrix Resurrection then there is room in his heart for good cuddly Boba too. I just need to remind him how low the bar is 😂

I was relying on Khev and AJP to tell me why this episode is so good and they have attacked it. I feel like John Hammond when Grant and Malcolm start bantha poodoing on Jurassic Park after he was relying on their support as the respective experts.
Yep ooh ahh that's how the episode starts then there's digging...and screaming.

Okay. Morrison used to have the physicality. I'm beginning to see he doesn't. If I could go back and change everything:

  • There'd be no Jango/Boba.
  • Fett could still get Sarlacc'd in ROTJ, just not as much slapstick.
  • My casting choices for Boba Fett (depending on how old you want him to be) are in no particular order Scott Glenn ('Stick' in Netflix Daredevil), Lance Henriksen ('Bishop', Aliens) or ... Daniel Craig, who's proven he can vibe ice cold assassin mixed with aggressive physicality across the Bond franchise. The other two are more cold operators/gunslingers who'd operate quietly and strategically like he did in ESB, whereas Craig would be believable beating someone's head in and in spite of his age could still do it now.
  • Book of Boba Fett shows us a cold, calculating and decisive veteran of few words. He'd still be challenged by the unknown and outnumbered, but his responses would be more ... strict.
This forum would be filled with nerdy joy.

Pretty much a perfect breakdown IMO. I've said for a while that my two top choices to play current versions of the Fett I envisioned from the OT were Daniel Craig and Karl Urban. Craig even sounded like the original Fett when he cameo'd as a Stormtrooper in TFA ("I'll tighten those restraints, scavenger scum.")

I hate it when we agree. 😐
