Bluray all the way! Should have my regular copy this week as I have friends that work at a video store and she said I could take it when they get it in. Then next Tuesday I'll pick up the Batpod version from Best Buy. Can't wait to see the Hong Kong scene in Blu Ray. So beautiful!!!!

I remember seeing this in Imax for the press preview and it was amazing and it was the first IMAX experience for me. I've never seen anything like it before.

I saw 300 in IMAX....and some 3D documentaries...

300 was horrible.....(not the movie, the exprienece) bad friends...and it was packed, so I had to sit in the back...on a kid stool....

This time, I got right in the middle. It was the most amazing thing i've ever seen. The whole theater was decked out in Bat symbols, and HA HA signs. It was sweet.

They also opened the film in the best way possible. After the trailers, the lights dimed, and The Joker's voice said..

"Gooood evening ladies and gentlemen....we're tonights entertainment."

"Starting tonight....people will die. I'm a man of my wooord...hehahahAHAH!"

"And...here...we....GO"

The lights went out, and film began right after that. That got me so pumped.....

I am excited as well, but just FYI--they didn't give it a 7.1 track, just a TrueHD 5.1 mix.

Although with Warner, even getting a TrueHD track is a big deal these days, as most of their releases of 2008 films have not been getting high def audio at all lately. Speed Racer, Get Smart, Journey to the Center of the Earth, The Bucket List, etc. have all had a plain old DVD quality Dolby Digital mix. I don't know why they don't do a better job supporting high def audio on all their releases. We got lucky with Clone Wars, but that's more the exception than the rule.

I was thinking about getting the Blu-Ray and waiting until I get a player--but for some movies you want to watch them with other people and most people don't have a Blu-Ray player so it's nice to have a DVD copy you can play anywhere.

I don't have an IMAX theater anywheres near me. 2 hours away. I was at the IMAX in Florida and I go to most films there if it were closer. Darn it!

Don't know if this was posted before but those who didn't pick up BB on Blu may have another chance to get 2 in 1:

I won't get it since I have the batpod on order and also bought BB on Blu already, but it's a nice set. Weird though that DK is first.
