I am excited as well, but just FYI--they didn't give it a 7.1 track, just a TrueHD 5.1 mix.

Although with Warner, even getting a TrueHD track is a big deal these days, as most of their releases of 2008 films have not been getting high def audio at all lately. Speed Racer, Get Smart, Journey to the Center of the Earth, The Bucket List, etc. have all had a plain old DVD quality Dolby Digital mix. I don't know why they don't do a better job supporting high def audio on all their releases. We got lucky with Clone Wars, but that's more the exception than the rule.

Tom, why would you need TrueHD audio for all those craptastic movies???? That's why they didn't put it in there. No reason to waste the money on them!

I'm seeing it at IMAX in Sydney tomorrow night - will be my first time at an IMAX - what's the best place to sit?

i like sitting in the back. Every IMAX screen is a bit different, but for most of them, I like the back most. this way you get to see the entire screen without having to move your head around too much. have fun!!!

Middle of the theater. Doesnt matter where exacly, but the middle rows. Too high up, and you dont notice the difference between that, and a normal theater, and to low, you NOTICE the difference...but holy crap its hard to see.

I agree. Although, I've only been to one IMAX movie before. :lol For The Dark Knight in IMAX, I was about 10 rows from the back. Like I mentioned in an earlier post, The Dark Knight was my first IMAX Experience so I honestly had no clue where to sit. Thankfully, when I went to the press screening I ran into someone who had been to a number of IMAX movies, so they lead the way to the best seats in the house! :banana The IMAX screening was breathtaking. I'm glad I saw it in IMAX. I'd have it no other way. The opening scene and the Batpod/Truck Trailer chase scene stood out the most for me. It's something I'll never forget.

I'm getting psyched about this DVD release! I think I will get it one Blu-Ray the more and more I think about it.

The opening shot was so jaring, and jaw droppingly awesome. I thought I was going to fall out of my chair.

I had the same exact feeling. I remember getting goosebumps. As much as I am a Marvel fan, this is how a comic book adaptation should be done. There's really nothing left to say. The movie speaks for itself.
