Since my account wasn't deleted, I thought I'd share this. They're finally giving the die hard fans what they want:

Reminds me of the Batman returns days, 1000 figures that look nothing and have nothing to do with the film.

I already posted the good "collectors" ones in the Dark Knight thread, but I haven't seen most of the "kid" ones. When I was a kid, I always wanted the Spider-Man or Batman or whoever to look the way they did in the movie or cartoon or whatever. I don't want Electro-Man. Even action features related to events in the film are better than neon-Batmen. Never understood the logic in that.

Oh well, I will be getting the collector's line though.

If it's not 1:6 then I don't care.

And the unmasked version just looks weird.

me too! and in superhero's cases I ALWAYS wanted an unmasked version.

Me too. I always wondered, and still do, about these toy makers: people who make toys not for kids but for the parents who "think" their kid will like it but who have no idea what the character looks like anyway. The parents who stroll the toy aisle at Target and go "oh look, Batman, our son loves Batmam, he'll love this."

holy that fist post had me on the floor! thanks!

Now that's a decent looking Batman.Great looking, and so does the articulation. I bet it's the same scale as the previous Batman begins figure.Any chance that Mattel will do a DC Superheroes scale for the new figs?

actually, I heard that these are going to be inscale with the DCSH line..

A while ago I read an interview with one of the big wigs at what was then Kenner in Toyfare. They asked why they made stuff like well the bright yellow p.o.s. we've seen here. and not more of the other characters. You know why we get 50 Batmen and maybe one Riddler. He said that they understand that collectors want variety, but they focus more on what the little kids want, and they think kids want a dozen different Batmen over one obscure villain. You know I was one of those kids, and I usually bought the weird batmen, but when I had the chance I always jumped on any of the other characters I could. But then again if they always gave us exactly what we wanted when we wanted it, there would be no need for customizing would there?

I'm Batman...I think....

A couple of those look cool or at least decent but the rest of them suck.
