The Dark Knight Figures - They're finally listening!

keep in mind that these figures are more made for kids. Mattel and Hasbro can't compare to the likes of Takara and Hot Toys in terms of a good quality collectible for adults.

I like how toy companies make these brightly colored versions aimed at little kids even though parents probably won't bring them to the movie (unless parents don't care if their kids see an obviously more violent Batman movie).

Yeah, these batman variants are nothing new... each series has a bunch of odd variants in different shades of un-Dark Knight flourescent colors. I'm sure Kenner makes a mint off of them, so whats to stop them.

You know even though most of these suck... When A big movie like DK comes out as an avid collector I always try to snatch the figure that is most accurate to the movie character. Til recently I collected more 6" than 1:6 scale figs. So even though sometimes they suck, I still get excited to see the new line when they come out. Except for Spiderman3. When Hasbro expected us to pay twice as much for figures that were 1/3 the size of the toybiz ones.

The "collector-style" ones are sculpted by the 4 Horsemen, the same guys who did the revamp of MotU and ALL of the DCSH and new DCU figures. They're pretty damn good but unfortunately some detail and such is lost when articulation is added.

At least Mattel is giving something out there for the collectors.

Unlike what Hasbro did with S3. The collector series was worse than the kid line and those Unleashed 360 are a whole lot better looking.
